That's all we have from the fourth quarterfinal. So, we have got the 4 teams who have made it through to the semis - Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. Three out of the four teams are from the subcontinent. The first semifinal will be between Australia and Afghanistan on January 29 and then the two Asian rivals - Pakistan and India will lock horns on January 30 in Christchurch. We would love to have your company. Do join us at 1030 Local (2130 GMT). Till then, Adios! Cheers!
Indian skipper, Prithvi Shaw, credits his boys for their performance. Mentions they executed the plans well. Admits someone (Nagarkoti) who can bowl fast is always handy. Appreciates Abhishek Sharma for his all-round game. He further adds, he loves playing with Shubman Gill. Ends by saying he is really looking forward to play against Pakistan.
Bangladesh skipper, Saif Hassan, says they started off well but just couldn't keep going. Adds his side did well to pull things back by breaking a few partnerships that India had. Admits they could have batted with a positive approach. Ends by saying the plan was to keep wickets in hand but that did not happen.
Man of the Match, Shubman Gill, says the wicket was on the slower side and they had to adjust against the spinners. He felt 280 was an ideal score but looking at the slowness of the wicket, they were happy with something around 250. Ends by saying they are excited to play against Pakistan next.
Bangladesh played well but just couldn't topple the strong Indian side. They did well to restrict them to 265 but their batsmen faltered once again against a quality bowling-attack. Plenty of batsmen got starts, especially Ghosh at the top and managed to keep the bowlers at bay but in the end they were all just delaying the inevitable. Stay tuned as we bring you the presentation...
A comprehensive performance from India has seen them go through to the semifinals of the ICC U-19 World Cup. On a two-paced surface, the Men in Blue did well to post a respectable total on the board. When they came out to defend, their new ball bowlers - Mavi and Porel were right on the money. They didn't let the Bangladesh openers settle in and kept on hitting the right lengths to make sure the runs didn't start to flow. Once they got an opening, the run chase fell flat, actually it didn't take off at all. The Indian spinners then came to the party and displayed tidy stuff to come out on top. If you ask me to name one bowler who was the best of the lot, has to be Nagarkoti. 7.1-1-18-3 are his figures and it speaks volumes.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti To Nayeem Hasan OUT!
OUT! Nagarkoti wraps it up! INDIA INTO THE SEMIS! Sheer pace from Kamlesh and boy, look at him. He leaps in the air and then punches it in joy. The whole of the Indian team barge towards him. Ball - He comes running in and bowls it fuller on the stumps, Nayeem misses and the ball uproots the off stump which goes for a walk. India beat Bangladesh by 131 runs!
