But Praveen Kumar pulled things back when he sent back the former and Moises Henriques in his second over. The skipper though kept marching on calmly and had the young Vijay Shankar for company. Both of them were given a life - Warner was not given out caught behind early in the innings while Shankar was dropped on 6. They both made them pay with an unbeaten 133-run stand to seal the deal for their side.
Hyderabad have put in a clinical show and booked their place in the playoffs. After winning the toss, they put Gujarat to bat. Ishan Kishan and Dwayne Smith got the hosts off to a flying start scoring 105 in the first 10 overs. Once they departed, the innings crumbled like a pack of cards and the home side only managed to post 154.
