Right, then! Delhi clinch another victory while Punjab suffer another loss. We may be done with today's action but do not fret, fellow cricket lovers, for we have a lot more coming your way tomorrow. Another double header awaits as Mumbai host Gujarat first at the Wankhede Stadium at 1600 local (1030 GMT), and then Pune travel down south to take on Bangalore at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Do join us for it. Till then, take care!
Man of the Match, Corey Anderson says it was a really difficult wicket to bat on. Praises Sanju Samson and Sam Billings for setting up the platform to unleash in the end. Admits that they thought 150-160 was a reasonable total on this dry wicket. Praises Zaheer Khan for his impressive field setting and also talks about the impact he has on the team. Says that they have a class bowling attack with Chris Morris and Pat Cummins. Feels that it was a clinical performance from the boys. Reckons that the left hand-right hand combination works well because of the depth in their unit.
Delhi skipper, Zaheer Khan says they were just doing the basics right. States they got a good start and executed their plans well. Acknowledges that they gained momentum at the right time with Sanju Samson and Sam Billings getting them off to a great start and the rest then chipping in later. Adds they have good batters to come in the latter stages so highlights the importance of the good start they had today. Credits Shahbaz Nadeem for his bowling performance as he did well in the first six overs. (On the variety in the bowling department) Says it's just about sticking to the basics and holding their nerves. Ends by saying that he would like his team to keep the momentum going and carry it forward in the coming games.
Punjab skipper, Glenn Maxwell feels they lagged a bit behind with the bat. Admits that they gave Delhi a few runs more than expected. Mentions that they were not able to sustain the pressure. Adds that there was no real dew and the wicket slowed up in the second innings. Reckons that the execution of his bowlers needs to improve and they need to step up. Praises Axar Patel for his brilliant performance today and appreciates KC Cariappa as well.
The hosts have registered a comprehensive victory in their first match at the Kotla. They first did well with the bat. The charge was led by Sam Billings' stunning fifty, and some breezy cameos from the middle order saw the home side post a good total on the board. Then did it with the ball as well. Punjab were rudderless against a clinical Delhi bowling attack, a performance which was similar to how they did with the ball earlier. A night to forget for them.

Chris Morris To Axar Patel OUT!
OUT! Bowled! That does it. Delhi have pulled off a dominating win. Morris takes the pace off it and bowls it on a length on leg, Axar Patel goes for the wild heave but misses and has his bails knocked over. With that, DELHI WIN THIS BY 51 RUNS!

Excellent yorker, on middle and leg, Axar digs it out back down towards long on. Doesn't take a run for it.

Chris Morris To Sandeep Sharma
Another full toss, it takes the leading edge and rolls away to the covers. One more run added to the total.

Chris Morris To KC Cariappa OUT!
OUT! Morris strikes! One of those "You miss, I hit" kind of situations. The big South African attacks the stumps, keeps it nice and full, Cariappa backs away to hit it out but misses and the ball crashes into the stumps.

Pat Cummins To Mohit Sharma OUT!
OUT! Bowled 'em! Yorker from Pat Cummins and that does the trick for him. It's on leg, Mohit Sharma makes room to hit. It hits him low on the pads and then goes on to rock the timber. The bails are off and he has to make his way back to the dugout.

1
Pat Cummins To Axar Patel
Slower one from Pat Cummins, it's going away from the left-hander on a back of a length, it's tapped to short third man as the batsmen take off. There is a shy at the striker's end which misses. Had that hit, Mohit Sharma would have been gone as he had given up.
Pat Cummins is back for a bowl.
