DWAYNE SMITH IS THE MAN OF THE MATCH for his blazing knock of 72 that set the tone for a challenging total. That is all from us for the moment, tomorrow is an off day but action will resume on Thursday, the 27th of March. Till then, it's goodbye from us.
The hosts were totally helpless against the guile and skill of the West Indian bowlers as they were on the receiving end of a thorough mugging this evening. They really need to go back to the drawing board and start afresh if they are to stay alive in this tournament. For West Indies, it was a huge morale booster which should keep them in good stead for the coming matches.
A comprehensive win for the West Indies over the hosts and that sets their campaign in motion. Bangladesh were downright disappointing with both bat and ball and the result is fair reflection on the way the two sides performed. Smith and Gayle helped Windies reach 171 and then the bowlers came in and did a wonderful job. Samuel Badree was the star of the innings, picking up a career best 4/15. He was ably supported by Santokie and Narine, once again looked unplayable.

Andre Russell To Sohag Gazi OUT!

Krishmar Santokie To Mashrafe Mortaza OUT!
OUT! Effortless catch in the deep by Bravo! Full length delivery on middle, Mortaza swings his blade across the line and plays it aerially over mid on. Bravo sprints forward from the deep, crouches low and takes the catch inches off the surface.

Krishmar Santokie To Mashrafe Mortaza

1
Dwayne Bravo To Sohag Gazi
In the air and the ball falls in no man's land. Slower length ball on middle, Gazi tries to heave it across the line but ends up top edging it behind the bowler. There is no calling between the mid on and mid off fielders and the ball lands safely much to the agony of the bowler who is standing there dejected. Well Bravo himself takes stunning catches in the field and has all the reasons to be disappointed. A single taken.

Andre Russell To Mashrafe Mortaza
FOUR! Good shot! Russell goes short with his length, on middle, Mortaza takes his eyes off the ball but still goes on with his pull shot. Makes good connection and fetches a boundary at square leg. Safe to say that was a fluke shot, not possible to hit the ball without watching it.
