Hashmatullah Shahidi, the skipper of Afghanistan, says he is proud of how his side played after losing the first two games. Mentions it was not easy to bat early on and he was happy with Tamim Iqbal's decision at the toss. Credits Fazalhaq Farooqi for the way he has bowled and adds Rahmanullah Gurbaz was exceptional. Also credits Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi for how they bowled and says they changed the game.
Liton Das is the MAN OF THE SERIES. He says he is disappointed with the team losing but he is happy with how he played but adds it would have been better had they won. Mentions in his mind he wanted to bat for 35 overs but if he did bat longer, it could have been a lot better. Adds he loves batting and he is doing it well. Ends by saying he would dedicate this award to his wife.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says he had an injury in the last game but he recovered well and he was fine in this game. Adds they lost the series but this game they played really well. Mentions his team needs a ton from him and every time he is set, he looks to bat long. States the others also batted well, he was under pressure in the first three overs but they played really well and took the pressure off him. Ends by saying he is looking forward to the games coming ahead.
Tamim Iqbal, the skipper of Bangladesh says that he is very disappointed as he wanted to finish the series on a high, says that they started well, but could not finish well. Mentions that Liton Das got out at the wrong time since he was set. States that this was an important game even though they have won the series, they wanted to grab 10 points. Informs that they did all the hard work, but he credits all the Afghanistan players for their performance.

The Bangladesh bowlers needed wickets early on but they failed to do so. They did get three but by that time, it was quite late. The wicket too seemed to have eased out a lot in the second innings and batting seemed a lot easier. Bangladesh just did not have enough runs on the board and they were at least 50 short of what could have been a competitive total.
First, it was their bowlers who not only got back into the game but set the victory up after bowling the hosts out only for 192. Let me remind you Bangladesh were around 100 for 1 and from there, they were bundled out for a low score. Then, their batters batted brilliantly, Gurbaz was the star man for them and he received good support from Rahmat Shah and Riaz Hassan. Both fell but Rahmanullah Gurbaz hung in till the end and took his side over the line with a ton.
A thumping consolation win for Afghanistan then! Had it not been for Afif and Mehidy's heroics in the first ODI, they could have won the series but the visitors will be mighty pleased with how good they played in this game.
