Crucial encounter coming up - Well then, Australia Women have turned the tables around and have taken a narrow 6-4 lead in this multi-format series. The third and final WODI now becomes very crucial, especially for India Women. The Aussies can ensure that they don't lose the series with a win in the next game, whereas India have to win if they want to win the overall series. The 3rd WODI will be played right here in Hobart once again, at the Bellerive Oval on Sunday, the 1st of March. The game will begin at 9.20 am IST (3.50 am GMT), but you can tune in to our build up much sooner. Until then, take care and goodbye!
The Australian skipper - Alyssa Healy expresses her excitement over her team’s clinical run-chase, praising the group’s outstanding effort in restricting the opposition to a sub-par 250 on a favorable batting wicket. She highlights the importance of consistency in their performance and commends young stars Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll for their match-winning partnership, noting that their success represents the promising future of Australian cricket. As the team maintains its focus on executing the fundamentals and sticking to their proven brand of cricket, Healy says that her side are confident and prepared for the upcoming match on Sunday.
The captain of India - Harmanpreet Kaur starts off saying that they didn't bat well today. After winning the toss, their plan was to post a 300-plus total on the board, but they lost wickets at the wrong time and that is reason why they were short of a lot of runs. About young players doing well, Harmanpreet says that she is really happy and they have a lot of talented players in the team. About the changes they are going to make on Sunday game, skipper says that weather to bat first or later, she reckons that they really need to bat well and deep in the innings to score more runs.
Player of the Match - Georgia Voll is given the accolade for her brilliant match-winning knock of 101 off just 82 balls. Voll credits her magnificent, match-winning century to a seamless partnership with Phoebe Litchfield, noting that Litchfield's outstanding presence at the other end eases pressure and allows them to complement each other's scoring rates. Thriving at number three, Voll demonstrates versatility by adapting to the role, anchoring the chase, and ensuring she puts her best foot in front at whichever position the team needs her to play.
The Presentation ceremony...
India losing momentum - What started as a brilliant showing in the three-match T20I series is now turning into a race against time for India Women. On a pitch that looked pristine for batting, they failed to cash in on the positive start and huffed and puffed their way to 251 runs, thanks to a fighting half-century from skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and vital contributions from the lower-order batters. With the ball, Kashvee Gautam was excellent up top but after getting that early wicket of Alyssa Healy, the Indians failed to build any sort of pressure. The wickets did come later on but the game was long gone by then and Gautam was certainly the pick of the bunch.
Near perfect from the hosts - This can be termed as a complete performance from Australia Women but they will feel there's still a need for improvement. With the ball, it was a slow start from the likes of Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown but the spinners ruled the roost after the Powerplay. The Aussies managed to break almost every brewing partnership after that opening stand of 78 runs and kept the opposition down to a slightly under-par score. With the bat, Alyssa Healy failed to make an impact in what is likely her penultimate innings for Australia Women. Phoebe Litchfield, on the other hand, looked in devastating touch, scoring a brisk 80 before getting out while playing a cheeky lap shot. Georgia Voll hadmade a golden duck in the last game but after a watchful start, she hit her stride and brought up a stellar century to lay down the foundation of the chase. The middle order still needs to stand up a bit more as they lost a few wickets without any pressure being built-up by the opposition.
Australia edge ahead - From 4-2 down after the T20I series, Australia Women now lead the multi-format series 6-4, with one WODI and the Test match to go. It has been a comprehensive showing in the longer white-ball format from the home side and they will be confident of extending the lead heading into the Test match next week. As for India Women, the next game becomes a must-win, because if they lose, even a win in the Test match would only see them draw the series.

Deepti Sharma To Annabel Sutherland OUT!
OUT! TAKEN! Annabel Sutherland tried to finish things off in style, but failed to make it happen. Deepti Sharma jogs from around the wicket and bowls it fuller, angling away from the batter. Annabel Sutherland clears her front foot and tries to heave it over the mid-wicket fielder, but connects with the upper half of the bat. The ball balloons just over the mid off region, where substitute fielder Harleen Deol, backpaddles and reverse scoops the catch into her hands safely.

DRINKS! Australia Women just need 13 more runs for the win and barring a slight wobble late in the run chase, they have been very dominant with the bat. There's not much to play for in this match but India Women will try and pinch a couple of wickets, just to end things on a positive note.
