That's all from this game. England and Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be playing their warm-up games in a short while. Also, Zimbabwe vs Ireland, in Group B, will be getting underway soon after the game between West Indies and Scotland in which the former is on the brink of a shocking loss. You can switch tabs to follow all the actions. Cheers!
Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper, says that they batted well but could have been more clinical towards the end. Adds that they want a set batter to bat through which Suryakumar Yadav did to an extent. Rohit is happy with the overall batting effort of India. Feels that you need to be smart when you plan your batting on such big grounds. Tells that there is definitely room for improvement with the ball and he wants to see more consistency. Mentions that you need to change your tactics here in Australia and they are working on it. Smiles and says that they wanted to challenge Shami by giving the final over and he did brilliantly.
Aaron Finch, the Aussie skipper, says that you need to be clinical at the back of the innings. Feels that they failed to capitalize on the end overs. Praises his bowlers for pulling things back after KL Rahul's quickfire knock. Finch is happy with his batting form and tells that he would have loved to win but cheekily adds that you can't win the World Cup in a practice game. Lauds the bowling effort of Agar and he is looking forward to playing New Zealand.
Stay tuned for the interviews of the two captains...
Positives for Australia - Bowling of Kane Richardson and batting of Aaron Finch. Positives for India apart from an unlikely win - Form of KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar finding his rhythm and Mohammad Shami looking ready for the challenge.
Australia will be shell-shocked at the moment. This was their game to win but India snatched it right under their nose. Aaron Finch finding some form would have pleased the home team and it's a massive boost to them. That said, he failed to close the game and his departure allowed India to stage a comeback. Not to forget Virat Kohli's brilliant piece of fielding to first run Tim David out and then a one-handed stunner to remove Pat Cummins. Overall, it was a good warm-up game for both teams and to be honest, this result doesn't matter much as only the positives will be counted.
What a win for India! They never looked in the game but it was a special effort from Mohammad Shami in the final over. A big statement is made by the pacer who has been missing in action and there were doubts over his fitness and skills as a T20 bowler. In totality, barring Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin to an extent, the bowling for India was not up to the mark and this is something they will like to address before the main tournament begins.

Ashton Agar is in next. 7 needed off 3 balls.

Mohammad Shami To Pat Cummins OUT!
OUT! TAKEN! Oh my goodness! What a catch from Kohli!  This is full and on middle, Pat Cummins clears his front leg and lofts it towards the long on fence. It looks like going over but Virat Kohli there times his jump perfectly and takes a one-handed blinder. The Australian dug-out behind him is in disbelief.

Harshal Patel To Josh Inglis OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! A great piece of fielding from Kohli and Australia lose two in two balls. This is full and on middle, Josh Inglis tucks it to the right of mid-wicket and sets off for a run, Tim David responds too. However, Virat Kohli is quick to pick up and hits the bull's eye at the batter's end. The replay shows that David is well short of his crease and to be fair to him, he did not even wait for the replays. Could this be the turning point of the game?
Josh Inglis comes in to bat.

W
Harshal Patel To Aaron Finch OUT!
OUT! TIMBER! Harshal Patel gets the huge wicket of Finch! He bowls his special delivery, a dipping low full toss, on off, slower too, Aaron Finch looks to work it away but is through his shot way too early and misses. The ball goes through and shatters the stumps. A good knock from the Aussie skipper but is there a twist in the tale?
Harshal Patel is back into the attack to showcase his death-bowling skills.
