Meg Lanning says that it is nice to start off with a win and they did really well to get to a score above 300, a few things to work upon but happy with the win. About Jess Jonassen, Lanning says that she was confident and wanted to bowl the final over and came out with flying colours. Mentions that they knew at the break that the total can be chased and the game as it is right now, is very competitive. On Alana King, she says that King turned the match in their favour and is ecstatic with her performance tonight.

Heather Knight, the skipper of England Women says that the effort from the batting unit tonight is a massive confidence booster and there are a lot of positives to take away from this match. Adds that they had a chat with the batting unit on how to approach games and applauds Tammy Beaumont for her efforts at the start. About Sciver, Knight says that she is one of the best all-rounders and they need players like her to step up like tonight and says that she played a blinder. On tonight's team selection she says that they went for balance and they have a good bowling unit and just need to tighten up on a few things. About their next opponents, Knight mentions that the Windies played great the other night and they are up for the challenge.

Rachael Haynes is the Player of the Match. She says that England were fantastic today and they learned a lot of lessons today, happy to get over the line in the end. She mentions that it was tough at the start and the English bowlers were bowling tight lines but once they got going they decided to go big and it was nice to get over the 300-run mark. On batting with Meg Lanning, she says that it's great to bat with her and also mentions that they have a lot of quality players in the side. Ends by saying that she hopes she can keep up the good form.

We saw two hundreds in this game but the cameos from Beth Mooney and Ellyse Perry at the backend and disciplined bowling helped Australia Women open their points account. Australia Women didn't dominate throughout the innings but at regular intervals, took wickets which helped them pile the pressure up. Alana King's leg breaks were brilliant today as she finished with three wickets while Tahlia McGrath went for runs but took two wickets. Jess Jonassen had a decent game but Meg Lanning trusted her spinner to defend the score.

Natalie Sciver played so beautifully yet failed to finish the task. She stood tall till the end and that gave hope to England. She got good support from the lower order, Dunkley and Brunt which took some pressure away but that final over was just too good from Jess Jonassen. Even Heather Knight and Tammy Beaumont played really well but in mega events it is about fine margins and tonight it was Australia who showed their class.

The procession continues in the ICC Women's World Cup where a chasing team fails to reach the target. Three matches are done and in all three the chasing team have failed to hunt it down.

Meg Lanning what a sharp mind, take a bow, took the gamble by giving the ball to Jess Jonassen and boy, she stepped up to the occasion. Defended 15 runs while there were two set batters, brilliant job. You feel for Natalie Sciver who tried so hard to take her team all the way but the chase was just too big for her.
