Right then! That is all we have from this exciting series. Dean Elgar collects the trophy and he joins his teammates to celebrate the victory. Bangladesh clinched the ODI series, while South Africa put in a domination show and have managed to seal the Test series. It's been tough Test series for Bangladesh, but they still do have positives to take from this tour. Alright then, with this we are done with yet another series, but there is still a lot of cricket happening around. You can keep checking the fixture page for all the upcoming matches. Until we meet again, it's goodbye and cheers!
Dean Elgar, the skipper of South Africa, says that it's been a good few months since he has taken over the captaincy. Mentions that Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer just had to trust the process, and luckily the conditions did favour them, but overall they have been exceptional and Maharaj continues to be his No.1 spinner. States that they have a good core and a good group going forward, Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer are leading the way for them. Informs that the attitude of the younger guys and the lower-order adding runs impressed him a lot. Concludes by saying that they have a good team now, and a lot of options that will help them in the upcoming tours away from home.
Keshav Maharaj is the Player of the Match and Player of the Series as well. He says he is really happy as his team crossed the line. It was a clinical performance in all departments. Adds that Elgar and the coach had a chat with him and appreciated him and told him to continue doing the right things. Mentions that he repeats the process, just a few little tweaks but he is happy to get the reward. Tells that he doesn't look at the stats, he will look at it at the end of his carer. On Harmer, he says he is a world-class bowler and he is working hard and hopes he gets his reward as well. Says that with the bat, he middle some shots but was disappointed not to get the triple-digit.
Mominul Haque, the skipper of Bangladesh says he thinks they didn't play well as a team in both the matches, and he is disappointed but they also have to look forward. Adds that they play really well as a team but there was no partnership with the bat or the ball. Tells that they should be able to play in any condition in international cricket. Mentions they have to focus on the process, they were thinking of the result here rather than the process.
Time for the presentation...
Dean Elgar decided not to enforce follow-on and they went out there to bat again and added quick runs. The intent was clear from them, they wanted to add quick runs, declare and grab a few wickets at the end of Day 3. That's exactly what happened. They got a lead of over 400 runs, declared, and managed to take three wickets at the end of Day 3. Coming into Day 4, South Africa bundled out Bangladesh for just 80 runs and clinched the series convincingly. Not to forget, South Africa have put a dominating performance in the full series without many of their key players. While Bangladesh failed to perform as a team and will be disappointed with their show.
It all started with South Africa putting up a mammoth total of 453, with all the batters making vital contributions. Dean Elgar, Keegan Petersen and Temba Bavuma notched up their half-centuries and Keshav Maharaj was the one who scored the most runs in the first innings. He scored 84 runs and guided South Africa over 400. Bangladesh came into bat and were troubled a lot by the seamers. They lost the first five wickets to the seamers and the last 5 to the spinners. Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Yasir Ali did put on a fight with the bat and they failed to go till the end. South Africa ended with a healthy lead of 236 runs. With all the batters contributing and most of the bowlers grabbing a wicket, it was a complete team performance for South Africa.
7 wickets for Keshav Maharaj and 3 wickets for Simon Harmer, the story was the same in the first Test as well. Bangladesh had no answers whatsoever. The spin twins, have wrapped up the Test match just within 1 hour of the first session on Day 4. Bangladesh batters were all over the place, a few of them just gave their wickets away in trying to play big shots, while others were simply bamboozled by the spinners.
SOUTH AFRICA WIN THE MATCH AND SEAL THE SERIES! They have continued their domination in the second Test as well, and once again it's their spinners who have created havoc and have demolished Bangladesh's batting line-up. Not to forget, it was their batters first that piled up over 400 runs and gave the bowlers a lot to fight with. After a historic ODI series win, it's been a disappointing Test series for the visitors.

Keshav Maharaj To Liton Das OUT!
OUT! STUMPED! There it is! Keshav Maharaj gets another five-wicket haul! What a series he has been having! He gets rid of Liton Das this time. Another peach of a delivery. A loopy ball, full, this one lands around the leg pole and spins away sharply. Liton Das advances down the pitch and looks to heave this over on the leg side, but he gets beaten due to the turn. Kyle Verreynne collects the ball and whips the bails off. The replay shows that Liton Das was way out of his crease. He has to walk back!
A stumping appeal! It looks out on the naked eye but still the umpire wants to cross-check it. Das is way out of his crease and one replay is enough to make the judgment.

FOUR BYES! A fuller ball, turning in, down the leg side. Mushfiqur Rahim misses his flick and Kyle Verreynne fails to grab the ball as well. It races away towards fine leg for a boundary. Bangladesh are underway on Day4!
We are all set for the action. The payers are out in the middle. Mushfiqur Rahim will join Mominul Haque for Bangladesh. Simon Harmer will end his over.
UPDATE - A couple of South African players have tested positive for COVID. Sarel Erwee and Wiaan Mulder have tested positive and will not be available for the match. Khaya Zondo (On Debut) and Glenton Stuurman are their replacement.
Simon Harmer is down for a chat. He says that it's been a great few days for them, they have set up everything nicely, but now they do not need to take things lightly. Mentions that he and Keshav Maharaj have always communicated well, and Maharaj helped him in Durban as well. Adds that there is a lot in this surface, they just have to get the ball in the right areas and let the pitch do the rest. Concludes by saying that the batters put the bowlers in the right position and scored a lot of runs. It's going to be a bit of cat and mouse, but they have to manage that and make sure things going their way.
South Africa had a good first innings score after they bundled out the tourists and they added another 176 runs at a quick rate and took the lead past the 400-mark. What do we expect on Day 4? Well, we saw the spinners start the proceedings with the red cherry and there was a good amount of purchase for them and just like the previous game, we could expect the spinners to finish the game. With all the momentum by their side, South Africa will hope for early inroads and bundle Bangladesh as soon as possible while Bangladesh will hope that atleast their skipper, Mominul Haque shows some determination with the likes of Mushfiqur Rahim and put on a good fight. The first session will surely clear our doubts. Stay tuned for further updates!
Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of Day 4 between South Africa and Bangladesh. The hosts are in pole position right now with just 7 wickets away from the win. South Africa gave a small tricky period for Bangladesh to handle on Day 3 but they lost three quick wickets and are looking fragile as they were seen in Durban in the previous match. They will need a miracle to save this Test match.
... DAY 4, SESSION 1 ...
Bangladesh need 386 runs to win with 7 wickets in hand and with plenty of time left. Spin twins, Keshav Maharaj, and Simon Harmer are already at work with the new ball, boy, it is spinning sharply. It will be a tough day for Bangladesh but surely an entertaining one for us. Day 4 will commence at 1.30 pm IST (8 am GMT). Do join us in advance for the build-up as well. Till then, Cheers!
The day started with Bangladesh batting and ended with the same as well but with a whole different scenario. Rahim and Ali started the day with intent and played really well to cut the first innings score but once they both fell, Bangladesh were bundled out for 217. South Africa had a lead of 236 runs at that time and they added another 176 to stay in the commanding position. Dean Elgar declared the innings and asked Bangladesh to bat for a tricky period. They did it but in a cause of losing three wickets.
The new batsman will join on Day 4 as the umpire calls STUMPS on Day 3. Phew! A 'moving day' indeed! So many things have happened on this day and it is fair to say, South Africa are well ahead in the game. They need 7 wickets to win with an ample amount of runs to defend. Keshav Maharaj just loves to bowl when his team is in a winning position and he has shown that yet again as he has already grabbed two wickets of Bangladesh who had to tackle a very tricky period. Tamim Iqbal's wicket at the stroke of stumps was a pinch of salt to their wound as his wicket has made things even more difficult for them.

Simon Harmer To Tamim Iqbal OUT!
OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! It's Simon Harmer who strikes this time! He gets rid of the dangerous Tamim Iqbal! Beautiful delivery by Simon Harmer! A loopy delivery, full, spinning away, outside off. Tamim Iqbal leans to defend this, but the ball goes off the shoulder of the bat due to some extra bounce and lobs up towards Wiaan Mulder at first slip, who pouches it safely. Bangladesh lose their third wicket. That will be Stumps on Day 3!

Keshav Maharaj To Najmul Hossain Shanto OUT!
OUT! LBW! Maharaj with an absolute beauty of a delivery! On a length and outside off, it lands and spins back in sharply. Shanto steps across and looks to defend but gets beaten by the turn there. He gets hit on the pads and a sharp appeal follows. The umpire raises his finger and South Africa celebrate but Shanto takes the review. He thinks that might go onto miss the leg stump but Ball Tracking shows it is the umpire's call on wickets hitting. Bangladesh are already in a lot of trouble and it is Keshav Maharaj who is making it difficult for them!
Review! Najmul Hossain Shanto has reviewed an LBW decision! There is no bat involved there. Ball Tracking shows it is the umpire's call on wicket's hitting! Najmul Hossain Shanto has to walk back.
