The keeper, Dinesh Bana, watched the ball closely and collected it cleanly and whipped off the bails in a flash. He appealed instantly, but did not seem too confident. What do the replays show? Ooohhh... seems mighty close! That back foot seems to be on the line! But the third umpire is not too convinced and says that this vision is pretty blurred and hence, he is not able to come to any conclusion. Asks for another angle and eventually states that he reckons that something is behind the popping crease! Wow. My eyesight is certainly not the best, but tell you what, Smaran is mightily lucky to be still batting out there. I could not see anything behind that line, to be honest.
