Now the wicket is not the easiest, there is a little bit of grip on the surface and Australia have an excellent bowling attack. If they do get their lines and lengths right, it is not going to be easy to chase. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, do have a deep batting lineup and some sensible batting can see them take a 1-0 lead in the series. A good second half awaits so stay tuned.

The Lankans were really good in the Powerplay, they kept it tight and managed to get rid of Aaron Finch. Then the game started to drift away from them as Ben McDermott and Josh Inglis put up a good 50-run stand before being separated by Chamika Karunaratne. Sri Lanka then came back in the game courtesy of Wanindu Hasaranga who got 2 wickets quickly to push the Aussies on the back foot yet again. Chamika Karunaratn then got Ben McDermott and Sri Lanka were in control. Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade though counter-attacked, especially the former and at that stage, 180 looked possible. However, Binura Fernando was absolutely brilliant towards the death and he is the man reason Australia have ended with a score under par. He ended up with figures of 4-0-12-2 in a T20 game!

What a performance that is with the ball by Sri Lanka! They will be so delighted with their performance heading into the break. The Australians, on the other hand, will be very disappointed with how the game stands at the moment, have to say they are on the back foot at the moment. Only 25 runs came from the last 4 overs and Sri Lanka got 4 wickets!
