Prior to the tournament is was a known fact that Sachin Tendulkar would be playing his last tournament for the franchise and therefore limited overs cricket. Mumbai wanted to win the tournament for him and they did it in style. Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement for international cricket after he plays his 200th Test.
