Rupesh-Thomas clinch men's doubles title in NZ Open GP
Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas received a morale- booster days ahead of World Badminton Championships as they clinched the NZ Open GP in Auckland.

Playing in their second Grand Prix final in two weeks, the top seeded Indian pair survived a scare from fourth seed Japanese duo of Hirokatsu Hashimoto and Noriyasu Hirata before outlasting them 21-16, 15-21, 21-13 in a 53-minute battle.
Rupesh and Thomas had reached the final of the Australian Open Grand Prix last week in Melbourne.
The Indian duo will also pair up in the men's doubles competition in the World Championships starting in Hyderabad from August 10.
