Neeraj Chopra Javelin Throw Event, World Athletics Championships, Highlights: India's Kishore Jena and DP Manu qualify for Athletics World Championships men's javelin final along with Neeraj Chopra. Jena recorded a distance of 80.55m, 78.07 while Manu recorded 81.31m. Neeraj Chopra began his World Athletics Championships campaign on Friday in the qualifying rounds of the men's javelin throw event in Budapest, Hungary. The ace Indian athlete recorded 88.77 meters in his first attempt, also the Season Best, to qualify for the final. In the process, Neeraj also qualified for the Paris Olympics.
