New Delhi:
Commonwealth Games gold medallist Manjit Kaur has been banned for two years reportedly for refusing to submit her sample collection to National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) officers.
Manjit was a part of the quartet that won the 4x400 metre relay at the 2010 Games in Delhi.
Her teammates at the event - Mandeep Kaur, Sini Jose and Ashwini Akkunji - were found guilty of doping in 2011.
The athlete was untraceable when her teammates were found guilty of doping and officials maintained that she had left NIS patiala and had not reported back.
NADA has charged her under article 2.3 of the World Anti-doping agency code, and are expected to officially serve the notice to her later on Wednesday.
