IOC ban: No place for tainted IOA officials, says former heptathlete Reeth Abraham

In an exclusive chat with NDTV on Thursday, former Arjuna Award-winning long jumper and heptathlete Reeth Abraham said there was no place for the tainted Indian Olympic Association officials in the country's Olympic system. Reeth was reacting after the International Olympic Committee, on Wednesday, refused to admit India back into the Olympic family for refusing to adopt a "charge-sheet" clause that intends to keep tainted officials away from the national Olympic committee. Reeth feels Indian athletes will continue to suffer as long as the current IOA officials remain defiant to remain in power. Reeth is part of the Clean Sports India campaign and said the IOA desperately needed a set of officials who had the best interest of Indian athletes in mind.
