Mahitha wins second gold in cycling
Riding on Mahitha Mohan's performance, Kerala dominated the cycling velodrome as star rider Ch Rameshori Devi clinched her second gold medal in the 34th National Games here on Saturday.

Riding on Mahitha Mohan's performance, Kerala dominated the cycling velodrome as star rider Ch Rameshori Devi clinched her second gold medal in the 34th National Games here on Saturday.
Mahitha one gold came from the the team event. Mahitha won the sprint ahead of Th Helen Devi of Manipur as Punjab's Rekha who settled for the bronze.
In the team event, the trio of Rejani, Mahitha, Kezia timed 1:18.212s for the gold while Manipur (1:19.346s) and Punjab (1:23.839s) won the silver and bronze respectively.
In the men's 1000m time trial, O Bikram Singh of Manipur clocked 1:11.268s while Haryana's Vikram Duhan clocked 1:11.961s for silver and Punjab's Amrit Singh bagged the bronze with a timing of 1:13.296s.
Punjab's Hitraj, Gurbaj and Amrit clocked 1:09.995s for the men's sprint gold as Services (1:11.988s) and Kerala (1:14.567s) took the silver and bronze respectively.
Sombir Singh of Services clocked 5:02.892s for the 4km individual pursuit as Punjab took the siler and bronze through Harpreet (5:04.580s) and Sarpreet (5:14.274s).
Having clinched the 1500m TT yesterday, Manipur's ace rider Rameshori stopped the clock at 39.625s for the title in 500m TT which was her second as Kerala took the silver and bronze through Mahitha (40.460s) and Kezia Verghese (42.322s).
