Serbia's Novak Djokovic clinched gold in the tennis men's singles event at the Paris Olympics 2024, as he beat Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and took revenge for the Wimbledon final loss less than a month ago. Djokovic beat Alcaraz 7-6(3), 7-6(2), in an enthralling neck-and-neck final. Djokovic, thereby, won an Olympic gold for the first time in his career, to add to his 24 Grand Slam titles. Alcaraz missed out on a gold medal in his maiden Olympics appearance.
