NDTV saluted India's Rio Paralympic medallists who won four medals at the Summer Games. Nineteen special athletes won four medals – two golds, a silver and bronze. This was a landmark achievement for India's Paralympians. Every victory was a story of camaraderie, work ethics and inspiration. Athletes likes Devendra Jhajharia (gold in javelin) and Thangavelu Mariyappan (gold in high jump) proved nothing is impossible. Varun Singh Bhati won bronze in high jump while Deepa Malik won a silver in shotput, the first Indian woman to win a Paralympic medal.
