Staring at a massive 246-run 1st innings deficit, New Zealand lost opener Peter Fulton in the second over as Zaheer Khan got one to nip back in and the tall right-hander offered no shot as the ball hit the front pad. The hosts went into stumps on Day 2 at 24/1, trailing by a further 222 runs.
