Rohrer is apparently replacing Aaron, who has been ruled out due to a stress fracture suffered last year. Rohrer will be the second NSW man in the Delhi squad. David Warner is the other.
Delhi are reeling under injuries and unexpected pullouts. Ryder, who was beaten up last week in Christchurch, has left a batting hole in the Delhi line-up which was already poorer due to Pietersen's injury. Rohrer will now have a big role to fill.
The 32-year-old left-hander is a T20 specialist and played well for Melbourne Renegades in the 2012-2013 Big Bash. He scored 295 runs at an average of 49-plus. He made his T20 debut for Australia against the West Indies in Gabba.
