Ravichandran Ashwin had quite the match in India's second Test against England. The spin wizard not only took eight wickets - taking his Test tally to 294 - but also scored his fifth Test century. Another battle that Ashwin won in the match was that against England's star all-rounder Ben Stokes. Having kept Steven Smith quiet in Australia - Ashwin dismissed him thrice in the four-match series - the off-spinner turned his focus to an old nemesis at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Coming into the match, Ashwin had got the better of Ben Stokes eight times in nine matches and after today's dismissal, the tally became 10 times out of 10, having dismissed him in both innings.
Having castled Stokes with a peach of a delivery in England's first innings, Ashwin got one to go straight and take an inside edge off Stokes' bat onto his pad and straight to a diving Virat Kohli at second slip.
As Ashwin reasserted his dominance over Stokes in the longest format of the game, Twitter was abuzz with memes and jokes about the England all-rounder being his "bunny".
Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer was among the many to come up with hilarious posts on the Ashwin-Stokes rivalry.
Jaffer shared two pics, with one of Stokes celebrating his Ashes knock in Headingly with the caption "What we see when we see Stokes" and the other of Ranbir Kapoor from the movie 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', with the caption "What Ashwin sees when he sees Stokes".
For the uninitiated, Ranbir Kapoor's character in the movie was named 'Bunny'.
Ashwin's exploits helped India seal a 317-run win against England and level the series at 1-1, having lost the first game at the same stadium.
The two sides will next meet at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad for the Day-Night Test beginning February 24.
