At 38, Dravid has been the only force for India in what has otherwise been a sorry performance against Andrew Strauss and his team. "I try and keep improving irrespective of my age. This series has been personally been very satisfying to have scored so many runs against such a good bowling line up," he said.
Dravid brought up his 35th Test century off just 168 balls to take India to 300, a first for the side on this tour. He returned to open after his side was asked to follow-on but was removed early. "The only thing I find disconcerting about opening is that I feel rushed because you just have 10 minutes to change. (However) No debate about me opening in the second inning because Gambhir was still not feeling 100 percent," he said.
