Ireland has been making waves in international cricket for quite some time now. They are considered one of the best associate nations to participate in the tournament.
The Oman team on the other hand, which largely comprises of the immigrants of Indian and Pakistani origin will look to cause an upset against Ireland.
This will be the first time that Ireland and Oman will lock horns against each other. Ireland's star player Kevin O'Brien is just two games away from becoming the first Irish player to complete 50 Twenty20 games.

Ireland have themselves to blame for such a sorry result. The batted pretty well in the first innings to post a score of 150-plus but failed with their bowling. Plenty of wides and no balls cost them the match which was quite visible in the final over. Ireland will be pretty upset with such a below-par performance as they let their opposition with an easy win.

What a match, what a contest! Oman have caused an upset over the Irish. Maqsood and Khawar gave them a dream start with a 69-run opening stand. But wickets in quick succession made them lose momentum. Amir Ali was the hero of the day smashing 32 runs of just 17 balls which proved enough to take them home.

NO BALL AND OMAN WIN BY 2 WICKETS! Whole dug-out is on the field and they are celebrating. Well, they have got every reason to do so. Coming to the ball, full toss on middle, Ansari swings his bat as he misses it. Niall O'Brien behind the stumps too fails to collect it. The ball goes through his legs for a boundary. Sheer drama!

OUT! There is still life in this contest! The set man departs! Full length ball on off, Ali looks to chip it over covers but gets a faint edge behind to the keeper. The keeper and the umpire goes up in an appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Replays show there wasn't any edge. Still, nothing can be done. 3 needed from 3!
