Pune Strykers defeated Karnataka Lions 3-2 in a close-contested match of the World Series Hockey (WSH) tournament here on Monday.
Roshan Minz put Pune Strykers in the lead with an eight-minute strike but Len Aiyappa equalised in the 24th minute when he converted a penalty corner.
Going into the second half with the scores locked at 1-1, Lungile Tsolekile again put the hosts ahead when he struck in the 47th minute, only for Inocent Kullu to draw parity a minute later.
Damandeep Singh, however, sealed the issue in Pune's favour when he struck the team's third goal in the 56th minute to help them to victory.
