Indian hockey team to get Rs 25 lakh on winning Champions Challenge

The Indian hockey team will get a reward of Rs. 25 lakh from Bharat Hotels Limited if it wins the Champions Challenge I tournament title, it was announced on Sunday.

The Indian hockey team will get a reward of Rs. 25 lakh from Bharat Hotels Limited if it wins the Champions Challenge I tournament title, it was announced on Sunday.

Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson and Managing Director Bharat Hotels Limited (Hotel Lalit) announced the prize money through Hockey India.

India have not lost a single match en route to the final, which they are slated to play against Belgium later today in Johannesburg.

Due to a miscommunication, Hockey India earlier announced that the team will get the money for reaching the final.
