Following a goalless draw in the first match, the Indian women's hockey team displayed a spirited performance to defeat Spain 1-0 here on Monday.
India made a promising start by giving a neck-and-neck fight to Spain. Both teams made several attempts but failed to convert their opportunities. Just before halftime, Spain earned a penalty corner but failed to capitalise on it and the score remained 0-0.
