Former IHF official Balraj Aher no more

Former vice-president of Indian Hockey Federation (IHF), Balraj Aher passed away at a private hospital here after a brief illness, family sources said on Sunday.

Former vice-president of Indian Hockey Federation (IHF), Balraj Aher passed away at a private hospital here after a brief illness, family sources said on Sunday.

He was 79 when he breathed his last on Saturday night.

Aher was vice-president during the regime of IHF president KPS Gill, and was also once manager of Indian Hockey team for an international tournament.

He was president of Vidarbha Hockey Association for a long time.

He is survived by wife and two sons.
