Gangjee, who began well with a first round 68, was all over in the second round and his back nine came in at eight-over 44.
Daniel Chopra added a 69 to his first round 70 and was lying 50th at the midway stage - an improvement on the overnight 69th.
Gangjee's sole birdie of the day came on the eighth and then he had a bogey on the ninth.
There were bogeys on 11th, 13th and 14th also and he finished with a double bogey on the 16th and a triple bogey on 18th.
The cut came at four-under and Gangjee was four-over.
John Mallinger shot a seven-under 65 and grabbed the 36-hole lead.
Mallinger's 13-under 131 total is one better than Billy Hurley III, who kept pace with his own 65 while former champion Justin Bolli shot a 67.
