Mallorca :
SSP Chowrasia failed to break par for the second day running and carded a two-over 72 to risk missing the cut at the European Tour's Iberdrola Open Cala Millor Mallorca golf tournament here on Friday.
After a woeful five-over 75 in the opening round on Thursday, Chowrasia's combined total stands at seven-over 147 and although the second round is still in progress, the Indian's chances of making the cut don't seem to be too good.
The 10th tee starter opened his day well with a birdie but a bogey on the 12th pulled him back. He gained a stroke on the 15th but made the turn even-par after dropping a bogey on the 18th.
In the front nine, Chowrasia couldn't manage a single birdie and ended up denting his chances by stumbling to a double bogey on the sixth hole.
At the top, South African James Kingston led the pack after the opening round after carding a five-under 65.
