Stoke City have defended resolutely this afternoon and look like they're going to earn what would be just their second away win of the campaign.

OFF THE LINE
It's off the line! Jack Butland makes a great double save from Sam Clucas before Kurt Zouma turns Tammy Abraham's goalbound effort from underneath his own bar.
77'
IRELAND FOR SORENSEN
Jack Butland is in the thick of it again, covering his near post to prevent Andre Ayew from turning the ball in. Meanwhile, Lasse Sorensen comes off for Stoke to be replaced by Stephen Ireland.

67'
BAUER BOOKED
Mame Diouf is flagged offside for Stoke after getting onto the end of a Xherdan Shaqiri throughball. That's fortunate for Swansea. Just after, Moritz Bauer is booked for scything down Martin Olsson.
66'

LITTLE ACTION
There's not much happening at the Liberty Stadium at the moment. The match is petering out already - not that it ever got going in the first place, really.
61'

Erik Pieters bombs down the left before slamming a shot towards goal. Lukasz Fabianski slips but still manages to keep the ball out.
59'
ABRAHAM AND BRITTON ON
Swansea City turn to their bench - and it brings the biggest roar of the afternoon. Tammy Abraham comes on for Wayne Routledge but Leon Britton also comes on for his final game in place of Andy King. Britton is being treated like a god here.
58'
Substitution
Leon Britton (on). Andy King (off). (Swansea City)
6'
QUIET START
It's a quiet start here. It certainly doesn't look like we're going to have the goal fest that Swansea City need at the minute.
56'
Yellow Card
Peter Crouch (Stoke City)
55'
PENALTY MISSED
It's Xherdan Shaqiri who takes responsibility from the spot but he's denied by a brilliant Lukasz Fabianski save. The Polish goalkeeper dives to his right to get a glove to the ball.

41'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
It's in! Stoke City lead!
40'
DAMP SQUIB
Swansea City have played some good football at times today but it's all too late from their point of view. Overall, though, this match is proving to be a very damp squib.
36'

49'
CORNER WASTE
Swansea City win an early corner kick but Wayne Routledge floats the ball straight into the gloves of Jack Butland.
46'
BACK UNDERWAY
We're back underway at the Liberty Stadium. No changes at the break.
45'
HALF-TIME REPORT
Swansea City are staring Championship football in the face as they trail 2-1 at home to already-relegated Stoke City at the break. Needing a convincing win to have any hope of survival, the afternoon started well when Andy King scored the opening goal with 15 minutes on the clock. But as the Swans streamed forward, they left gaps at the back, allowing Papa Alioune N'Diaye to equalise after a counter attack on the half-hour mark. And the Potters took the lead five minutes before the break when a free Peter Crouch headed in from a free-kick.
45'
HALF-TIME WHISTLE
And that's half time. It's Swansea City 1 Stoke City 2 at the break.
45'
TWO ADDED MINUTES
We'll have two added minutes here.
29'
SORENSEN BRIGHT
One bright spark in this Stoke performance so far has been debutant Lasse Sorensen who looks competent in central midfield. He's not seen enough of the ball to make a bigger impression, though.
26'
SAINTS GOALLESS
It's still 0-0 at St Mary's between Southampton and Manchester City so Swansea's hopes of survival are still very, very slim. A few goals there could change that though, and the Swans certainly look the more likely to score here.
23'
CROUCH HEADER
Darren Fletcher crosses into the box for Peter Crouch. Crouch climbs above Martin Olsson but directs his weak header just wide. Better from Stoke.
21'
STOKE FLAPPING
Stoke City are all over the place out there. They're going down with a whimper at the minute. Swansea are dominant.
18'
ROUTLEDGE SHOT
Big chance for 2-0! Wayne Routledge bends a shot wide after more good work from Andre Ayew. The hosts have the momentum here!
15'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
It's in! Swansea have the lead!
3'
SWANS PROTESTS
There's plenty of protests at the Liberty Stadium today, with Swansea City fans unhappy about the leadership at the club.

FULL-TIME REPORT
Swansea City's seven-year period in the Premier League came to an abrupt end this afternoon with a 2-1 defeat at home to already-relegated Stoke City. Already as good as down, the Swans needed an extremely unlikely pair of results here and at St Mary's Stadium this weekend to stay up and it wasn't to be. Andy King gave Carlos Carvalhal's men an early lead but Papa Alioune N'Diaye equalised on the half-hour mark. Peter Crouch's header just before half time put the Potters in front and it was a lead they worked hard to hang onto in an uneventful second half, where they could have added to their tally but Xherdan Shaqiri missed from the penalty spot. This will be a Championship fixture next season.
90'
FULL-TIME WHISTLE
And that's it. No added time. It finishes Swansea City 1 Stoke City 2 here.
90'
SHAQIRI WIDE
Xherdan Shaqiri goes on a fine solo run but his eventual left-footed strike rolls some way wide.
15'
KING SCORES
Andy KING gives Swansea the lead, finishing with composure from the edge of the box after good work by Andre Ayew. Only nine goals or so to go!
13'
SHAQIRI SHOT
Xherdan Shaqiri has the first real shot of the game but his long range effort is kept out by Lukasz Fabianski relatively easily. He'd have been disappointed if that had found a way past him.
11'
FLAT ATMOSPHERE
Still very little action, with a flat atmosphere at the Liberty Stadium. This was not the start that Swansea needed.
1'
WE'RE OFF
We're up and running at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea City go seeking for the win - and unlikely ten-goal turnaround over Southampton - which would keep them in the Premier League. Unlikely, yes. Impossible? Not quite.

MATCH PREVIEW
Swansea City and Stoke City meet at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon in what looks set to be a second-tier fixture next season. The visitors have already been relegated having lost at home to Crystal Palace last weekend, while the hosts are all but down after a defeat to fellow relegation battlers Southampton in midweek. The only way the Swans can avoid the drop is by crossing their fingers that Southampton lose to champions Manchester City while they beat Stoke and overturn a nine-strong deficit in goal difference in the process. Mathematics aside, the situation doesn't look salvageable for the Welsh side, who are reportedly set to part ways with boss Carlos Carvalhal after relegation is confirmed. Club stalwarts Leon Britton and Angel Rangel will hope to make their last appearances for Swansea, while Paul Lambert and Stoke will just be relieved to see the back of this campaign.
