The Club Award goes to OFC for winning the game. The Hero of the Match Award goes to Pedro Martin.
OFC bag the three points!
Turnaround complete! A well-deserved win for OFC! They were quite the better side throughout the game. They entered the second half being 1-0 down but started off brightly in the second. They managed to get an early goal in the second half courtesy Jerry Mawihmingthanga. They then looked more threatening to score another one. KBFC did create a chance or two in between. Dimitrios Diamantakos had a really good chance but he headed it straight to the keeper. Then for quite sometime it was just a midfield battle where both sides were struggling to make an clear cut chances. Just as we thought it would end as a draw, Pedro Martin, the substitute made the difference and scored the winning goal.

GOALLL!!!
OFC have turned it around! From being down in the game, they've staged a comeback to gain the lead. One long pass is all it took to set Pedro Martin through. It is Amrinder Singh who clears the ball ahead. It is a lovely clearance. Over the defense of KBFC. Pedro Martin runs ahead of the defenders. Brings the ball down with a magical touch and the finish is even better as he blasts it past the keeper. Not a lot of time left. Can OFC hold on to their lead?

GOALLL!!!
Just as we write that, OFC find the equalizer. Very well deserved. Jerry Mawihmingthanga it is. A long throw in the box is not cleared away. The ball in the end falls to Carlos Delgado who takes a strike but it is well saved by Prabhsukhan Gill. The ball is still loose in the box and Jerry Mawihmingthanga is the first one to it and he pokes it in. 1-1 and game on here.

OFC have begun well!
Just like the first half, OFC have begun the second half as the better side but no goal yet.
47'
Another top save!
Prabhsukhan Gill has been brilliant so far. A cross from the right by Jerry Mawihmingthanga finds the feet of Diego Mauricio. He takes a shot but it is saved. He should have done better. Prabhsukhan Gill did well to stand tall and make the save.
46'
Second half!
We are back for the second essay! Will we see a more open game in this one?
KBFC hold the edge!
It is the away side which head into the break with their noses in front but the half was quite equally contested. It was OFC who began as the better side. They even had the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled out as the referee had give a foul against Jerry Mawihmingthanga. Then there were a couple of decent shots from distance but Prabhsukhan Gill was upto the mark. KBFC then began to get in their groove slowly but they failed to create any clear cut chances till the 35th minute when Harmanjot Khabra snuck behind the defense and managed to give his side the lead. OFC have done well but they are unable to find the goal. We might just see them throw more men ahead in the second half. KBFC on the other hand, will look to attack on the counter. The first half was not very exciting but the second promises to be a lot more open.
45'
Half time!
Peep, peep, peep, there goes the whistle and that is the end of the first half! It is OFC 0-1 KBFC!

Just wide!
OFC almost find the equalizer. The corner is hit towards the far post from the left. Saul Crespo rises above the man marking him and gets his head on the ball but heads it just wide.
35'
GOALLL!!!
KBFC fans are going bonkers as their side have taken a lead. Harmanjot Khabra it is who heads it in but that is poor defending. The OFC defenders just went to sleep. The corner is played short to Adrian Luna who curls it towards the far post. Harmanjot Khabra runs past the defense. He is not picked by anyone. He has an open header from a few yards away from goal and he does not miss. 1-0 to the away side.

Over hit!
OFC had a free kick in a good position. On the left and just inside the box. Isaac Chhakchhuak takes it but hits it straight to the keeper.
31'
Final pass missing!
The final pass is missing as of now. Both the sides are getting to the opposition's box but the final pass is missing. Will we see a goal in this half?
25'
Saved!
Thoiba Singh wins the ball just outside the box. He has a few defenders around him but manages to take a shot. It is a good one but the keeper dives to his left and pushes it out for a corner. Nothing from the corner.
21'
Midfield battle!
The game has slowed down a bit now, bot the sides are passing it around but are struggling to find an opening.
16'
Well over!
Thoiba Singh probably picked the wrong option there! OFC win the ball in the KBFC half. He has a couple of attackers to his left but he takes a shot from outside the box. It is well wide of goal.
10'
Save!
KBFC now build an attack of their own! A cross from the right finds Ivan Kaliuzhnyi outside the box. He looks to take it on the volley but it is straight into the hands of the keeper.
7'
How is that not a goal?
The ball did go in but it was given as a foul. Before that though, there were two excellent saves by Prabhsukhan Gill. Diego Mauricio makes an excellent run down the left. He breaks into the box, the angle is against him but still goes for goal. The keeper makes a save but the ball is still loose in the box. It is cleared out but only as far as Isaac Chhakchhuak who takes a shot but that too is saved by Prabhsukhan Gill who probably does not have total control of the ball. Jerry Mawihmingthanga is close to the keeper and he puts it in the back of the net but the referee deems it as a foul.
2'
Cleared away!
It is KBFC who build an attack first and it is down the left! Adrian Luna is set through. He puts in a lovely cross but it is headed out by a defender. The ball then finds its way back to Adrian Luna again. This time his cross is a weak one as it does not go past the first defender at the near post. He clears it away.

Nail-biting affair!
OFC had a disappointing Hero ISL 2021-22 season but will be looking to change their fortunes this year and started their campaign with a bang but could not maintain their performance in the following match. KBFC collapsed and allowed five goals to find the back of the net and things could go worse before improving for them and they will need to be wary of it. These two teams have faced each other 18 times and have been quite evenly matched as KBFC just edge OFC 6-5 with 7 games ending in a draw. The two teams faced each other in the Durand Cup in preparation for this tournament but KFC hold the bragging rights as they did a double over their opponents in the Hero ISL 2021-22. They won the home game 2-1 and the away game 2-0 and will be hoping to repeat the feat once again. OFC are missing Michael Soosairaj due to injury, but Josep Gombau has the rest of the squad at his disposal whereas KBFC coach Ivan Vukomanovic has a fully fit squad to pick from. Shubham Sarangi had a poor game last time around conceding an own goal as he looked all over the place and could be replaced by Denechandra Meitei. Osama Malik and Victor Rodriguez could get a start if the OFC decide to change things up. For KBFC, Rahul Kannoly Praveen has been making a case for his inclusion in the playing eleven and will do well in front of the midfield pair of Ivan Kaliuzhnyi and Adrian Luna. There is very little indication as to which team will grab the initiative and make their mark in this game thereby returning to winning ways.
Fight for momentum!
We arrive at the last game of an entertaining matchweek 3 in the Hero Indian Super League 2022-23 as the football festival takes a break after the weekend and both teams come into the game on the back of losses. Odisha FC will be playing their first game and they will be hosting Kerala Blasters FC who play their first away match at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. They both languish at the bottom half of the table having played two games winning their opening matches convincingly but have lost their previous games. OFC suffered a disappointing loss to MCFC losing 2-0 and they lacked the cutting edge in the final third. KBFC on the other hand were drubbed by ATKMB 5-2 at home and they will be desperate to shore up their defense. Both teams will be looking to get back to winning ways knowing all too well that two losses this early in the league could prove to be disastrous for their campaign. The two teams will be eager to grab crucial points that are at stake and we anticipate an enticing contest.
