Adios!
That is it from this game then! Hero ISL will be back on 28th October 2022. Kerala Blasters FC will be taking on Mumbai City FC. That game begins at 1930 IST. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Awards!
The Club Award goes to OFC for winning the game. The Hero of the Match Award goes to Nandhakumar Sekar.
OFC move to the top!
OFC took the lead in the thirty third minute of the game via Nandhakumar Sekar's strike past Gurpreet Sandhu. Post that goal, OFC started creating more chances in their quest to double the lead. BFC continued to create chances post-resumption but failed to trouble the OFC custodian Amrinder Singh. OFC did come close to doubling the lead but were denied multiple times by Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. It was end-to-end action, but neither side could find the back of the net in the second half. So, it is OFC that collect all points from tonight's fixture in front of their home crowd. On the other hand, Simon Grayson and his men have a lot to ponder about before their next game against East Bengal.
90'
Full time!
There goes the whistle and it is OFC who bag all the points as they win by 1 goal to nil.
90'
Late corner!
BFC have a chance late into extra time. Namgyal Bhutia whips in a cross from the right-hand side and the ball seems to go out after hitting the head of Roy Krishna but the referee indicates a corner. Amrinder Singh is fuming as he feels that it should be a goal kick and is handed a yellow card for his protests. Although nothing comes from the corner as a OFC player is fouled in the box as the ball is delivered.

87'
One-way traffic!
OFC creating all the dangerous chances here as BFC are just looking to sit back and play long balls from the defense to their forward players.
83'
Double change!
BFC make two changes and are looking to shore up their defense rather than look for an equalizer. Alan Costa and Rohit Kumar are out in the middle in place of Leon Augustine and Bruno Silva.

Lovely build-up play!
OFC are brimming with confidence as they work the ball beautifully out of the back from the right side and switch the ball to Nandhakumar Sekar on the left flank. He does a couple of fakes and gets the ball into the Raynier Fernandes outside the box who takes a good shot that requires Gurpreet Sandhu to dive and parry the ball out of play.
76'
Foul!
Thoiba Moirangthem has a scuffle with Suresh Wangjam for the ball near the byline. The former pulls Suresh's shirt from behind and the referee eventually blows the whistle.
72'
Off target!
BFC defence fail to clear the cross properly and it falls kindly to the rushing Raynier Fernandes. He shoots it first time but the shot sails way over the crossbar.
70'
First booking of the night!
Parag Shrivas trips over Jerry Mawihmingthanga as he tried to get past him. The referee feels that it is a foul worthy of a booking and books him.

66'
Sharp save!
OFC pounce on a loose ball and build a great attack with some neat passes. The ball falls to Jerry Mawihmingthanga on the right wing and he takes a shot at goal. Gurpreet sticks his hand out and prevents the goal. It would have been curtains for BFC had OFC scored there.
65'
Opportunity wasted!
BFC have a rare chance to put the ball in the box courtesy of a corner. Roshan Naorem is standing over the ball and whips in a flat cross that does not beat the first defender. The ball is cleared away and the chance goes abegging.
63'
Keep ball!
OFC have the lead and are now looking to maintain possession in midfield. There is an occasional long ball forward but they regain control as BFC fail to keep the ball for long.
59'
Another substitution!
BFC will now make a change as Jayesh Rane comes off and Suresh Wangjam takes the field.

Cagey affair!
Similar start to the first half with both teams looking to keep possession and gain control of the game. Very few chances are being created so far.
48'
Lovely cross!
Diego Mauricio recovers the ball near the touchline on the right flank and back heels it into the path of Jerry Mawihmingthanga who whips in a dangerous cross but nothing comes off it.
46'
Second half!
The second half is underway and it is OFC who get us underway. They will now attack from left to right and neither team has made any changes at the break.
An enthralling half!
Both OFC and BFC created chances since the start but it was OFC who broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute. It was Nandhakumar Sekar who blasted it from the edge of the box past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu to send OFC in the lead. OFC were rewarded for their impressive pressing in the final third. BFC had multiple chances to level the score but they were denied by Amrinder Singh. BFC will look to start the second half on a positive note, while OFC will hope to make the most of the momentum. It is all about the team who scores first in the second half now. Do join us in a short while, to see how things pan out
45'
Half time!
Well that's it from this half. The referee blows the whistle and concludes the first half. OFC head back into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Slight halt in play
Siva Narayanan is rolling on the floor in some pain. The physio is out to have a closer look. He seems to be hurting and BFC are forced to make a change here.
42'
Very poor effort
Namgyal Bhutia stands behind the dead ball, but is unable to send it inside the box. Luckily, BFC are quick to retain the possession, although it does not cause any danger in the end.
40'
Sweeper keeper
A long ball comes in from the BFC back-line to find the Krishna, although Amrinder Singh is quick to get off his line and kick it out for a throw-in.
37'
Under pressure
Again a top ball is whipped in from the corner kick. OFC could've had another one but the linesman raises the flag. BFC under some pressure now. They must find their running boots now and break on the counter.
33'
GOOAALLL!
What a strike! The crowd is on its feet! Sahil take the corner kick and puts in a low cross. It goes outside the box off the BFC defender, although right at the feet of Nandhakumar Sekar, who shifts to his right and blasts it into the right bottom corner. Gurpreet Sandhu had no chance at all. OFC take the lead here.

29'
Just wide!
Saul Crespo sends in a great ball into the box towards Diego Mauricio who is front of the goal. Mauricio manages to get in front of Sandesh Jhingan and has a shot towards the goal. His shot drifts wide of the post.
26'
Off target!
Shubham Sarangi collects the ball in the midfield and decides to blast it towards the goal. His shot sails way over the crossbar. Josep Gombau isn't pleased with this effort and lets the defender know.
22'
Good save!
Roy Krishna receives a good ball in the midfield from Bruno Silva and runs towards the goal. Gets a good first touch but Amrinder Singh rushes forward in time to keep the game goalless.
17'
Into the wall
Diego Mauricio stands behind the dead ball. OFC have a free kick in a dangerous area. He whips it straight into the wall and BFC deal with it in a flash.
15'
Entertaining stuff
Quite end-to-end stuff here. Both the teams are showing hunger of moving forward but are unable to be clinical in the final third.
12'
Off target
Osama Malik whips the ball inside the box but it is headed out quite easily.
9'
Nice effort
BFC are knocking at the door here. There are creating many chances from the right flank. This time Roshan Naorem has a go from outside the box but goes out for a corner due to deflection. No danger off it though.
7'
Just past the goal!
Top play for BFC! A ball comes in from the backline. Roy Krishna is free with his perfectly timed run. He goes for the volley but hits the side netting. Initially, he might've thought he is off side but the linesman keeps the flag low.
6'
Throw-in!
Leon Augustine tries to pass it down the right flank but it goes out off a OFC defender.
3'
A tempting ball!
Namgyal Bhutia stands behind the dead ball and whips in a delightful full but straight at the keeper. There is no BFC player at the end of it.
2'
Nice play!
Diego Mauricio gets the ball outside the box. He turns smartly and lays off a beautiful ball for Jerry Mawihmingthanga in the free space in front of him. Jerry takes a touch to his left and pulls the trigger. Gurpreet Sandhu at the goal, dives to his left and makes a sharp stop. It goes out for a corner kick, nothing comes off it.
1'
Let's football
The referee blows the whistle and BFC start the game now.
TOSS
The coin goes up and lands in favour of BFC. They will get us underway. OFC will be attacking from right to left.
National Anthem
All the players now stride out to the middle for the Indian national anthem. We are moments away from the kick-off now.
Bengaluru FC ( Starting XI)
Gurpreet Sandhu (GK), Namgyal Bhutia, Sandesh Jhingan, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Roshan Naorem, Jayesh Rane, Bruno Silva, Leon Augustine, Siva Narayanan, Roy Krishna, Sunil Chhetri (C).
Odisha FC (Starting XI)
Amrinder Singh (GK), Shubham Sarangi, Carlos Delgado (C), Sahil Panwar, Osama Malik, Thoiba Singh, Saul Crespo, Raynier Fernandes, Jerry Mawihmingthanga, Nandhakumar Sekar, Diego Mauricio.
Who will win?
Odisha FC's first-choice striker Diego Mauricio has fired blanks in the last two games, but he may still retain his spot in the starting lineup. Pedro Martin scored his first goal in the Hero ISL against Kerala Blasters after coming on as a substitute in the 65th minute. They have made a comeback in two out of their last three games. They will be hoping for a clean sheet in this game. Four out of the five goals they’ve scored this season have come in the second half. Coming to the visitors, they started their campaign with a win, then settled for a point, and in their last match, they dropped all points against the defending champions Hyderabad FC. Sunil Chhetri is yet to put his name on the scoreboard this season. In their last game against Hyderabad FC, they played well but conceded a late goal which made them lose the game. They will be hoping to bounce back and clinch a win in this game. Can the hosts make two wins in two games at this venue? Or will Bengaluru FC bounce back and win this game? We shall find out together.
Time for Matchweek 4!
We are soon into matchweek 4 of the Hero ISL 2022-23. In this game, Odisha FC will be locking horns against Bengaluru FC at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. Odisha FC comes into this game with a narrow win against Kerala Blasters FC at the same venue whilst Bengaluru FC are coming into this game after a narrow loss in Hyderabad FC. Odisha FC plays more of a possession game whereas Bengaluru FC relies heavily on counter-attacks. This makes this fixture even more enticing.
