Ciao!
So that is it from this game! ISL action resumes on Wednesday now as FC Goa host Mumbai City FC at 1930 IST. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Awards
The Club Award is shared by both teams as the match ended in a draw. Memo Moura collects the Limitless Player of the Match Award. Federico Gallego grabs the Winning Pass of the Match Award. Redeem Tlang takes the ISL Emerging Player of the Match Award while Jose Leudo bags the Hero of the Match Award.
A very entertaining game!
Wow! A much-needed breather for both, the players and for us! What a game, 6 goals in total and it never seemed like there would be so many goals scored in this one. Both the teams were all square till the 77th minute but then the hosts managed to take the lead once again. However, the visitors then won a penalty which they ended up missing. At one point it seemed it would cost them but they managed to score a few minutes later and then took the lead in the 85th minute. They though could not hang on as NorthEast United FC found the back of the net for the third time in the 88th minute. Both the teams did give it their all in the final minutes for the winner but no goals could be scored. In the end, the right result one can say.

GOALLL!!!
This is unreal stuff! Another goal and it is from NorthEast United FC. He gets his team back on level terms. A free kick is chipped into the box for Jose Leudo. It goes over his head but Memo Moura looks to head it out but he ends up heading it onto the back of the attacker. Jose Leudo turns and then hits it into the back of the net. Will we see a winner?

GOALLL!!!
From 1-0 down, the visitors are now 3-2 up with not a lot of time left in the game! Memo Moura has smashed that into the back of the net. A free kick from just outside the box is taken by Moura. He hits it towards the near post with a lot of power and beats the keeper. Can they hold on now?

Did that cross the line?
Jamshedpur FC surely feel so but the ref does not! The visitors were inches away from finding the equalizer. The corner is hit towards the far post, it is headed back towards the centre by a Jamshedpur FC player but it falls to a NorthEast United FC who tries to clear it but fails to do so as it goes only as far as Noe Acosta. He strikes it towards goal, it takes a deflection and then hits the crossbar, bounces just ahead of the line and then it is cleared out.
82'
GOALLLLL!!!
Noe Acosta scores after missing out on the penalty and we have the equalizer. This game is going to the wire. A thunderous strike from him from outside the box. He receives the ball just outside the box. He takes a touch and beats Subhasish Roy who dives to his left but fails to get a touch.

Penalty awarded
Jamshedpur FC with the chance of making it all level once again. The ball is chipped into the box. Wayne Vaz looks to head it out with a diving header but heads it onto his hand. The ref blows the whistle and points to the spot.
77'
GOALLL!!!
NorthEast United FC have taken the lead once again! An excellent effort from Redeem Tlang but credit has to be given to Martin Chaves. He made an excellent run down the left flank and then goes past a defender. Lobs it towards the far post. Sandip Mandi leaps high and tries to head it out of danger but it is a little too high for him. It hits his head and lobs a few yards away from goal. Redeem Tlang is there and he volleys it into the back of the net. Just around 13 minutes to go, can the hosts hang on?

Golden chance!
Andrew Keogh hits it just wide! He should have hit the target atleast. He also had another player to his right to which he could have passed it to. Andrew Keogh is set through on goal;. He beats the slide of one player and then sees the keeper off his line. He looks to chip it over but does not hit the target.

All level at the break!
An equalizer right at the end changes the look of the game completely! It was hosts who dominated most of the half. They also managed to score early and then kept the pressure on their opponents. Jamshedpur FC, on the other hand, failed to create a lot of chances. Bikash Jairu did have one but he could not control the ball well to let go of the opportunity. However, just as it seemed they would head into the break trailing, David Grande headed in the equalizer. The game is brilliantly set for the second 45. Both the teams will go for the win. Who will come out on top? We will find out soon.
45'
Half time!
At the break NorthEast United FC 1 - 1 Jamshedpur FC
45'
GOALLLL!!!
Jamshedpur FC have equalized right at the stroke of half time! That will completely change the managerial talks at the half time break. Amarjit Singh chips in a cross from the right. David Grande leaps high and heads it towards the far post, leaving the keeper with no chance.

40'
5 minutes left
Just 5 minutes and added time left in the game. Will we see an equalizer or will the hosts go to break with the lead?
35'
Heavy touch!
That would have been a good chance had Bikash Jairu done better there! Aniket Jadhav makes a good run down the right. He then chips it towards his left and it goes over the defenders and falls on the foot of Bikash Jairu. His touch though is heavy and it goes straight into the hands of the keeper. Had he controlled it nicely, it would have been a big chance.
31'
Clumsy foul
Aitor Monroy takes down Lalengmawia in the middle of the park. The referee is quick to spot that and a free-kick is given to the hosts. Monroy would feel lucky that he was not shown a card though.
27'
Almost an own goal!
Federico Gallego gets the ball on the right flank. He crosses it low into the box towards the near post. Joyner Lourenco slides to clear out but hits it just wide of his own goal.
26'
Corner wasted
Federico Gallego takes the corner from the right. However, Sumeet Passi leaps high and heads the ball out of danger.
19'
Just behind!
Redeem Tlang wins the ball in the opposition half and then charges towards goal. He has Federico Gallego to his right, he looks to pass it to him but it is a little behind and Revetria fails to control it.

Early change!
Mislav Komorski can not continue, he was down on the ground a few moments ago holding his hamstring and now he is being substituted and Wayne Vaz comes in place of him.
14'
Off target!
David Grande gets the ball on the left flank. He runs with it nicely and from just outside the box shoots but his attempt goes well over the goal.
10'
NorthEast United FC in control
10 minutes are done and the hosts are well in control of the game with an early lead. They have the ball with them for 60% of the time so far and are looking likelier to score the second.

GOALLLLLL
NorthEast United FC score and take the lead early in the game. Their first-ever goal of 2020. It is their skipper, Federico Gallego, who finds the back of the net. It was an excellent through ball by Ninthoi to find Andrew Keogh inside the box who takes the shot but Rafique Ali does well to come out of his line to block the ball. However, it goes to his right where Federico Gallego is present. He tucks it in by going past the challenge one of the opposition players. A top, top team goal from the Highlanders.
2'
Foul
Aniket Jadhav makes a foul on Rakesh Pradhan on the right flank as he pushes him down. Referee spots that and awards a free-kick to NorthEast United FC. Nothing comes out of it.

Matchday
With no chance of making it into the final 4 on the points table, NorthEast United FC get ready to host Jamshedpur FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati. Like the Highlanders, Jamshedpur FC too are out of the race of reaching the final 4. Both the sides will now take the remaining games as an opportunity to salvage some pride and finish the tournament with a few wins. NorthEast United FC's struggle at the attacking front are not hidden. They have missed the services of Asamoah Gyan who missed out on a few games due to an injury. In the five games that they have played in 2020, the side are yet to find the back of the net and this is enough to tell their story of the season. At the back, Kai Heerings and Mislav Komorski have done really well and in this final phase of the tournament, they will hope to see the strikers step up and take the responsibility. Jamshedpur FC started the tournament with a bang but could not continue that form in the mid-phase and a defeat in the last game saw them crashing out of the final 4 race. With their key players like Castel, Piti and Tiri getting injured, their season could not get going at all and although Castel has returned, their fortunes have not changed. Now, with a few games left for each side in the group stages, they will try to finish the season on a high. Will we get to see the Highlanders scoring their first goal of 2020 or will Jamshedpur FC manage to break their three-game losing streak?
