ATK FC go top!
What a performance this was from the two-time ISL champions. They have rolled over the Highlanders and cemented their reputation as the team to beat this season in the ISL. The ball was set rolling in the first half itself as strike partners David Williams and Roy Krishna both scored. In the 53rd minute, Krishna missed an open goal to extend the lead but it did not come back to haunt them.Williams also squandered a chance in the 78th minute. It could have been easily 4 or 5 goals for ATK FC as Javier Hernandez also missed a one-on-one opportunity in the 90th minute. However, Roy Krishna scored in stoppage time to complete the thrashing of the home team and move ATK FC to the top of the table above defending champions Bengaluru FC.

How did Krishna miss that?
ATK FC should have been 3-0 up but somehow Roy Krishna has done the unthinkable and scuffed away his shot. David Williams gets the ball on the right. He charges away with it and there is only Wayne Vaz in between him and Roy Krishna. Williams manages to cross it inside the box and finds Krishna who is one-on-one with the keeper. Roy Krishna who has been excellent this season somehow manages to hit his shot off target.

Foul
That is painful! Panagiotis Triadis tries to win an aerial ball by raising his foot. Agustin Iniguez comes in to head it but Triadis ends up catching his face with his stud. That's got to sting. Panagiotis Triadis has been booked for that as well.

Second half!
The home side get us underway for this one. They'd be desperate to get the second half to a flier.
ATK FC flying high!
It has been some super football from ATK FC as they have piled on the pressure on the hosts. NorthEast United FC were given an early blow when their lead striker Asamoah Gyan went off injured after he himself missed a huge opportunity to put the hosts into the lead. Right after the substitution, David Williams headed ATK FC in front as NorthEast United FC switched off. Roy Krishna had a chance to extend that lead in the 23rd minute but instead of passing to his teammates he opted to shoot and it was well blocked by Subhasish Roy. At the 35th minute mark, Roy Krishna scored and put ATK FC in a comfortable position. The visitors almost added another one but Javier Hernandez's shot went just wide around the 37th minute mark. It looks like the game is done and dusted but don't count the Highlanders out just yet!

GOOAALLLLLL
Roy Krishna scores and ATK FC now double their lead. NorthEast United FC are hit on the counter as they left themselves completely exposed at the back. David Williams puts in a through ball down the middle with just Wayne Vaz with Roy Krishna. Vaz chases Roy Krishna inside the box but Krishna cuts in and completely beats him. With just the goalkeeper in front of him, Roy slides the ball into the back of the net. Looks very difficult for NorthEast United FC to make the comeback now.

Wrong decision?
Agustin Iniguez puts in a cross towards the right side of the box where Roy Krishna collects it. He runs towards goal with no defender marking him. He goes for the shot from a very narrow angle and Subhasish Roy does well to save that one. Maybe ATK FC had a better chance of scoring if Roy Krishna would have squared it for his teammates.

Settling down
After a frantic first 20 minutes, it looks like both these teams have composed themselves a bit. Sustained spells of possession now for both sides.

Huge chance
How has Gyan missed that? It was a wonderful opportunity to open the scoring early on. Lalthathanga Khawlhring puts in a long ball into the box from the left flank, from almost near the halfway line. It falls exactly in front of Asamoah Gyan, who chests it down with a very good touch, but he scuffs his shot from just 6 yards out and the ball rolls harmlessly into the hands of Arindam Bhattacharja.

Can ATK go top?
It is time for match no. 33 of the Indian Super League and today, ATK will be visiting NorthEast United FC. The Highlanders are unbeaten so far this season and will be looking to extend that run today against two-time champions, ATK. The hosts' season so far has been based on solid defensive displays, letting in just 6 goals in as many matches. Redeem Tlang and Jose Leudo have stood out in defence along with goalkeeper Subhasish Roy. Panagiotis Triadis and Martin Chaves will be the ones to create the chances and with Asamoah Gyan finding the net in each of the Highlanders’ three home matches this season, ATK will have to be on their toes. Coming to ATK, they have been scintillating since their opening day defeat against Kerala Blasters FC. Taking 11 points out of a possible 15, they have propelled themselves to 2nd spot and can go top if they win today. Michael Soosairaj, David Williams and Roy Krishna have been very good up top with Pritam Kotal and Agustin Iniguez being rock solid at the back. However, in the build-up to this game, ATK coach Antonio Lopez Habas has stated that the team has done well but he needs more from his players. It promises to be a fascinating contest with both teams expected to go for all 3 points.
