Adios!
So, that is it from this game. The hosts have come out victorious winning their first game of this year's ISL. The visitors on the other hand, are still in search of theirs. They though will have to wait for it a little while as there are two different teams playing on the 20th. Kerala Blasters FC will lock horns with Delhi Dynamos FC in the former's den. Do join us at 1930 local. Till then, goodbye and take care!
Awards
The Club Award is given to Mumbai City FC for winning the game. Modou Sougou is the Limitless Player of the Match. Arnold Issoko wins the Winning Pass of the Match. Nikhil Poojari is deemed the Emerging Player of the Match. Arnold Issoko is the Hero of the Match.
Mumbai City FC take all three points.
The hosts have hung on to their two-goal lead they had in the first half courtesy Modou Sougou and Rafael Bastos' penalty. The home side came out with a defensive mindset and was happy to sit back and defend. They were successful in doing so as they did not let FC Pune City create any clear chances. Yes, the away side did come close but with a few shots outside the box but Amrinder Singh was upto the task. Right at the death, the home team had a chance to add another as Arnold Issoko won a penalty. But it was saved by Vishal Kaith. However, three points for Mumbai City FC and they are pretty delighted about it.

Lucian Goian steps up and fires it to the left. Vishal Kaith dives full stretch to his right and saves it.

Penalty!
However, that certainly looked like a dive. Arnold Issoko is set through on the right with a chip over the defense. Vishal Kaith rushes out but Arnold taps it past him. He then runs into the box and is one-on-one with Gurtej Singh. Nkufo though taps it to his right and then falls onto the ground, quite dramatically. The ref points to the spot and it is the second penalty for Mumbai City FC.

For Mumbai City FC as they bring in Pranjal Bhumij for Rafael Bastos. A forward for a forward. To inject some fresh legs maybe.

Are the Mumbai City FC players. They have a two goal lead and they have come out with a slightly defensive mind-set.
46'
Second 45...
The countdown is over and it is FC Pune City who begin it.
45'
Half time!
There goes the whistle and it is half time! Mumbai City FC head into the break with a two-goal advantage. The game started off quickly but the first goal really opened things up. A lucky one for the hosts one can say as the ball deflected off the post and fell to Modou Sougou who had an easy finish. Chances then, came for both the sides but the keepers were upto the mark. But a rash tackle in the 45th minute inside the box saw a penalty being awarded to the home side and Rafael Bastos converted it. So it is Mumbai City FC who are in the driver's seat at the moment but FC Pune City will surely come out strong in the second 45. We saw a comeback yesterday, can we see one tonight?

End-to-end stuff!
First it was Mumbai City FC who had the chance as Rafael Bastos chips a ball over the defense to set Arnold Issoko free on goal. He lets the ball bounce and then fires a shot from outside the box but is saved by the keeper. FC Pune City then counter-attack as Lalchhuanmawia Fanai puts in a cross towards the far post from the left. Nikhil Poojari takes it on the volley but a little too close to the keeper and Amrinder Singh punches it out.
25'
GOALLLL!
Mumbai City FC have taken the lead. A fortunate one you can say. Paulo Machado from the left, delivers a cross into the box. However, it is too close to the goal. Goes over the keeper, hits the post and falls for Modou Sougou who smashes it into the net. The hosts are up and running.

Vital block!
That was well-hit but it was well blocked. The ball was lobbed into the box by Emiliano Alfaro towards Nikhil Poojari. He connects well with the shot but Shouvik Ghosh blocks it. Had he not, FC Pune City could have had the lead.
15'
Still goalless!
So the game has now slowed down a little. No clear openings as of now for any of the two sides.

Blocked!
Arnold Issoko tries the spectacular as he brings out the bicycle kick. He hits it well, it seems like it is going in but Sarthak Golui tries to head it out but it hits Adil Khan's chest and then he puts it out of danger. A good attempt though by Arnold, would have been one of the goals of the season.
9'
First yellow!
And it is for a FC Pune City player. Ashique Kuruniyan loses out in a one-on-one battle down the right against Arnold Issoko. He then pulls the defender down by tugging his shirt. Another free kick in a good position for the hosts.

Hello and welcome!
Game 12 and it is the Maharashtra Derby. Mumbai City FC take on FC Pune City in the former's den. Both the sides are yet to bag a win. However, the visitors have played only one game which they drew, whereas the hosts have drawn one and lost one. The two will be eager to win the game here tonight. The away side enjoys a better head-to-head record. Also, the last time they came here they ended up on the right side. Can they repeat that? We will have to wait to find out.
