On top of the table
What a way for FC Goa to go on top of the standings! Mumbai City FC started the second half with a bang as they managed to score two goals inside 6 minutes with Sarthak Golui smashing the ball in for the hosts' first goal. Then it was Sauvik Chakrabarti who whipped the ball in superbly to equalize. However, that didn't last long as Hugo Boumous with a superb goal put the visitors ahead. The Gaurs then added another goal to their sheet as Carlos Pena deflected one inside off a set piece to seal the deal. Earlier in the match, it was all about FC Goa as they went 2-0 ahead at the half-time break with the help of goals from Lenny Rodrigues and Ferran Corominas. FC Goa are known to dominate Mumbai City FC and they have done exactly the same to humble the hosts. They now go on top in the points table.

GOALLL
Fourth one of the night for FC Goa. This is surely game over for the hosts. Edu Bedia takes a free kick from the right flank. He shoots the ball inside the box. The shot finds Carlos Pena in the penalty area and he just glances it past the keeper and into the goal. Mohamed Larbi was marking Pena but he failed to do so clearly and that tiny space was enough for Carlos Pena to put the ball in with a little deflection.

Domination from FC Goa
What a first half for the visitors. They started attacking from the word go and never looked back since then. In the 27th minute, Lenny Rodrigues put one inside the box to put the Gaurs in front. Mumbai City FC tried to make a comeback after that by creating some chances but were unable to convert it into a goal. FC Goa, at the stroke of half time, added one more goal to their tally and now are looking good to get the three points. Battle for the second win!
With just a win apiece in three games, Mumbai City FC is hosting FC Goa in the 17th game of the Indian Super League 2019/20. The Gaurs will be coming into the game with some mixed feelings after their draw against NorthEast United FC. In that match, they lost their cool a bit late on and Len Doungel was given a red card. However, they managed to score a stoppage-time equaliser and somehow came away with a point. As for Mumbai City FC, they were hammered 4-2 by Odisha FC in their last encounter. FC Goa have always been a solid side and probably have an upper hand against the Islanders. Players like Ahmed Jahouh, Rao Desai and Mourtada Fall will be tasked with stopping the goals. Ferran Corominas, the main striker of the side, will look to combine with Manvir Singh and Hugo Boumous to breach the defence of the Islanders one more time. The hosts, Mumbai City FC, on the other hand, will want Amine Chermiti to step up along with Diego Carlos and Serge Kevyn if they are to create a hole in the defence of the Gaurs. Subhasish Bose and Sarthak Golui will have the tough task of containing Goa's extraordinary attack. Will Jorge Costa's men be able to get three points or will Sergio Lobera's men register their second win of the season? One thing is for sure, we have an awesome game in our hands.
