MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
There goes the full time whistle and Manchester United claim a comfortable 2-0 victory over Swansea at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.
90'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Scott McTominay comes no for the last 30 seconds for absolutely no reason.
90'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
We are into two minutes of injury time at Old Trafford.
90'
Substitution
Scott McTominay (on). Juan Mata (off). (Manchester United)
75'
Substitution
Marcus Rashford (on). Alexis Sanchez (off). (Manchester United)
75'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Mourinho knows when he's been given some good advice - on comes Marcus Rashford for Alexis Sanchez, who is given a rapturous reception as he comes off.
72'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
It is somewhat surprising that Jose Mourinho has so far neglected to turn to the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial from the bench. Their pace and creativity would be perfectly suited to a match like this at the moment.
70'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
We are into the last 20 minutes at Old Trafford now and no doubt Jose Mourinho will go to his tried and trusted "we always had control" line, but the hosts are not having everything their own way here.
68'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Soon after that initial Tammy Abraham chance, by the way, he tested De Gea again with an instinctive volley following a vicious left wing cross. The sub is really making an impact for the Welsh outfit.
66'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
It looked for a time in this match that the Red Devils were going to run away with this one, but since those missed chances Swansea have really come back into things. If they can get a goal soon, it will make matters very interesting.
64'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Wayne Routledge has indeed come on for Swansea, but it is Sam Clucas who is withdrawn, so my apologies for the incorrect information I fed you before. Still, it is a positive change from the visitors.
62'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
The away outfit now do have the ball in the back of the net, but it is rightly disallowed after Martin Olsson blatantly pushed Victor Lindelof before rifling the ball into the bottom corner - a good spell for Swansea nevertheless.
60'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Out of nowhere, Swansea nearly find a goal through substitute Abraham. The youngster does really well to work some room 12 yards out, but his fierce shot on the spin is wonderfully parried away from the top corner by David de Gea.
58'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Yet another opportunity for a third as United up the ante here. Paul Pogba plays that lovely, disguised, dinked ball over the top from the edge of the box that he does so well, and Juan Mata is a matter (see what I did there?) of yards out, but sends his volley on the turn over. That would have been brilliant had it gone in!
56'
Substitution
Wayne Routledge (on). Sam Clucas (off). (Swansea City)
56'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
It really should be game, set and match. Juan Mata floats a wonderful cross in from the right and Lukaku unselfishly nods it back across goal for Sanchez, but the Chilean gets his header all wrong and loops it over the bar from six yards. The two goalscorers nearly linking up for the killer blow there.
6'
MAN UTD 1 - 0 SWANSEA
GOOOAAAL. Romelu Lukaku puts United ahead.
88'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
The Red Devils are keeping the ball in opposition territory and winding the clock down now, with the Swans knowing that the game is over. This has hardly been a coupon-busting result has it?
86'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Five minutes of normal time left now and Carlos Carvalhal will be pleased with the way his men have responded in this second 45 minutes, but he will maybe feel they showed United too much respect early doors?
83'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
This match has absolutely flown by as we enter the last ten minutes at Old Trafford, with the hosts sensing that the work is done now. This could have been more for United, but a clean sheet and three points is a decent way to respond to Liverpool's dramatic win earlier in the day.
81'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Big news at the bottom and good news for Swansea fans, as Newcastle have taken the lead at home to Huddersfield. It looks for all the world like a loss for Swansea this afternoon, but there is not too much damage being done in the context of the relegation scrap.
79'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
That is brilliant work from Lukasz Fabianski. Romelu Lukaku looks certain to add to his tally for the day as he chests down a cross at the back post and powerfully volleys goalwards, but the Polish stopper spreads himself excellently to thwart the striker.
77'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
A second change to report from United, with Ander Herrera brought on to shore things up in the middle of the park, with Jesse Lingard given the last 15 minutes off.
76'
Substitution
Ander Herrera (on). Jesse Lingard (off). (Manchester United)
8'
MAN UTD 1 - 0 SWANSEA
It's a neat move. A one-two between Sanchez and Lingard gets Sanchez clear in the area. He finds Lukaku whos shot get a slight deflection from Alfie Mawson and the ball loops over Fabianski into the top corner. It's a great start from the home team.
54'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Mike van der Hoorn looks in a spot of bother here as he limps around the field following an innocuous looking challenge. Wayne Routledge is readying himself on the sideline - he offers more in an attacking sense as well, so this could be a smart change from Carvalhal.
52'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
It's been a bit of a messy start to the second period in all honesty, which will suit the home side down to the ground, but so demanding are the Old Trafford crowd, they will want more goals here.
50'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Just to let you know what is going on around the grounds as the visiting fans contemplate what a defeat here would mean for their side, West Ham are three goals to the good against Southampton, Newcastle and Huddersfield are goalless and Burnley are a goal up at West Brom. So, they are still three points clear of the bottom three.
48'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
Carlos Carvalhal has wasted no time in looking to change things up here, with Tammy Abraham coming on for the Swans, with Nathan Dyer the man to make way - more of a presence up top at least for the visitors now.
46'
Substitution
Tom Carroll (on). Ki Sung-Yueng (off). (Swansea City)
46'
MAN UTD 2-0 SWANSEA
We're back underway at Old Trafford, with Man Utd seemingly cruising towards a comfortable victory. Time will tell, however.
46'
Substitution
Tammy Abraham (on). Nathan Dyer (off). (Swansea City)
42'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
There is a pause in play as Andre Ayew goes down with a head injury. First time I've seen Ayew today. Nearing half time
38'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
Whoa, an attack from Swansea. Olsson breaks down the left and gets a cross in intended for Dyer. Comfortably collected by de Gea though. That's about the best we've had from the Swans so far. Eight minutes to half time.
34'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
Jesse Lingard is having a pivotal impact on this game. He has assisted for both goals already and a moment ago he latched onto a clever pass from Lukaku and his shot just clears the Swansea bar, so nearly three.
29'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
Manchester United are enjoying themselves here. Two goals to the good, playing the ball around with freedom, attacking at will, against opponents who are offering nothing. It's one of those long afternoons for the Welsh outfit I'm afraid.
25'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
It was Jesse Lingard with a defence splitting pass into Alexis Sanchez who is just onside. His finish is emphatic as he rips the net off. Swansea are finding it difficult to cope at the moment.
23'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
No he hasn't. Alexis Sanchez has put United 2 goals up.
22'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
GOOOAAAL. Jesse Lingard puts United 2 - 0 ahead.
20'
Goal
Alexis Sanchez (Manchester United)
20'
MAN UTD 1 - 0 SWANSEA
United are well on top in this game. Since that early goal Lingard again fed Lukaku but this time his low right footed shot was saved by fabianski. A minute later Pogba robbed Ki in midfield, he then found Lingard who again tested Fabianski to the limit. Swansea are reeling and a second looks on the cards.
5'
Goal
Romelu Lukaku. Assist by Alexis Sanchez (Manchester United)

H.T. MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
It has been a good half for United and a pretty miserable one for Swansea. From the opening whistle it was all United and they very quickly took the lead on five minutes, with Lukaku finishing off an excellent move between Lingard and Sanchez. Swansea did not respond well and went further behind on twenty minutes as Lingard again set up Alexis Sanchez who finished fiercely. The pattern continued for the rest of the half with Lukaku and Lingard in particular going close to adding to the scoring. Swansea have contributed nothing to this game so far, and it will take an impressive half time talk from Carvalhal to get Swansea into this match.
45'
MAN UTD 2 - 0 SWANSEA
Nearly number three. The ball is ricocheting around the Swansea area. Lukaku, then a swing from Sanchez and a shot from Lingard blocked, but Swansea scramble it clear.

Bobby Madley gets us going at Old Trafford with Manchester United in their usual red shirts.

MANCHESTER UNITED v SWANSEA CITY
It was revealed earlier in the week that Manchester United are to give discounted season tickets to 17-25 year olds in an attempt to increase the atmosphere in Old Trafford. And it may be imperative as we are five minutes to kick-off here and the stadium is fairly quiet. Orff's O Fortuna is pounding out of the PA, perhaps that will liven things up a bit. Join me, Steve Nicholls for full commentary coming up.

MANCHESTER UNITED v SWANSEA CITY
SPECIAL ONE STRIVING FOR SECOND With the title as good as over and a place in the top four increasingly likely with each passing matchday, it is clear that Manchester United's focus in the Premier League for the remainder of the season will be to finish runners-up. They will undoubtedly be bitter about trailing runaway leaders and city rivals Manchester City, but they will be eager to soften that blow by pipping bitter enemies Liverpool to second spot. The Red Devils are currently two points clear of the Merseysiders with a game in hand and a home match against lowly Swansea this afternoon will be seen as a prime opportunity of pressing home their advantage with the fixtures running out. However, not all is rosy around Old Trafford going into this clash, with key men Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez under public scrutiny, while Champions League elimination at the hands of Sevilla has seen the doubters circling above Jose Mourinho. A home victory and a much needed three points today will be the perfect tonic to eradicate recent woes. SWANS HAVE TAKEN FLIGHT At the back end of last season Swansea looked odds on favourites to be relegated before a change in manager turned their fortunes around - fast forward a year and the story is pretty much the same in South Wales. Make no mistake, the Swans are a long way from considering themselves safe for the current campaign. But the work of Carlos Carvalhal and his staff since arriving has convinced most people that they are more likely to avoid the drop than to fall in to it. However, with teams around them potentially picking up points this afternoon, an encounter at Old Trafford with a wounded Manchester United side could be a sore trial on their positive momentum. A loss would undoubtedly set the nerves jangling once more, but Carvalhal has proven he can defy odds, and his team will know they can do so again.
