90'
Goalless affair
It has ended as it began. 0-0. NorthEast played with 10 men for most of the game but have not capitalized on it. Gurwinder was shown yellow in the 23rd minute itself but NorthEast have defended well to not allow the yellow get through. The hosts kept on pressing but just couldn't find the back of the net. Credit to Pawan Kumar. He threw his body at everything and ensured his side earn a clean sheet. The diving save of Poplatnik's was the pick of the lot. This game sums up Kerala's season. They have not been at their best and failed to make most of their chances. For NorthEast, they will take positives from this game as they head into the final four.
90'
Full time
That is that. The referee has blown his whistle to end this game.

Added time
We will have 6 added minutes to this game. This is because of Pawan Kumar's injury. Will we have a late winner?
89'
Up and over
Matej Poplatnik has a go from distance. He looks up and shoots but hits it into the stands. Frustration?
87'
Low save
Good from Baoringdao Bodo. His first touch could have broken the deadlock. A cross from the right is flicked on to Bodo at the far post. The latter takes a touch and fires one in towards goal. Gurmeet gets low and saves it well.
85'
Card
Substitute, Prasanth K is just come on and has been booked. Slides into Federico Gallego and gets booked. We have seen before, Rahul Kumar, the referee is not afraid to dish out cards.

Superman stuff!
There were questions about his keeping but Pawan Kumar has pulled out a blinder of a save. Slavisa Stojanovic gets the ball and shoots from distance. It takes a deflection and goes towards goal where Kumar dives to his right and makes the save. The ball deflects off the crossbar and goes out for a goalkick.
66'
Change
NorthEast United FC make a change. It is not the keeper. Nikhil Kadam comes in for Panagiotis Triadis.

Injury
Pawan Kumar doesn't look good. He has caused injury to himself yet again after not dealing with the ball. He is receiving treatment for now. Look's like he will be substituted.
58'
Another double-save!
Pawan Kumar at it again. He is doing all he can to keep the scoreline how it is. Pekuson's aerial ball is chested down perfectly by Doungel for Stojanovic. The latter takes a shot first time and hits it on target. Kumar gets low and makes a save. He doesn't collect the ball cleanly which allows Stojanovic another go. This time again, Pawan Kumar gathers it in his stride.

56'
Easy save
A cross from Pritam Singh with his left is given to Slavisa Stojanovic just inside the box. The latter directs his header towards goal but cannot generate enough power from that position. Pawan Kumar will not make an easier save.
53'
Off balance
Samad and Poplatnik play a nice one-two. The latter looks to shoot on target but doesn't use the best of techniques. Loses his balance in the process and scuffs his shot over the post.
47'
Double save!
NorthEast catch Kerala on the counter. Panagiotis Triadis crosses a perfect ball to the far post from the left. Lalrempuia Fanai is at the receiving end. He takes a touch to get away from a defender. Pulls the trigger with his left but hits it straight to the keeper. Gets a second bite at it but Anas Edathodika stands tall and blocks it.
46'
Second half
We are back for the second 45. This time the away side will kick things off.
All Kerala
It is the yellow fever here in the southern part of the country. They have dominated the game in the first 45 but not made immense use of it. The home side started the game on a bright note. They were fluent on the ball and were asking the questions. Courage Pekuson struck the post while Seiminlen Doungel missed one from close range. The highlight of the game so far, was Gurwinder Singh getting a red card. He slid into Poplatnik and that was enough for him to walk back in the 23rd minute itself. The visitors are helpless and are looking to play on the counter. Let's hope for a more competitive second half.
45'

45'
Added time
We will have 2 added minutes to this half.
45'
SAVE!
What a save from Pawan Kumar! Keziron Kizito plays an inch perfect pass for Doungel after running with the ball. The latter was caught in two minds whether to cross it or shoot and ends up hitting it to the charging Pawan Kumar. The keeper is down in pain and is receiving treatment.
39'
Wayward
Matej Poplatnik waste a chance. He looks up tries to bend one it the far corner but skies it way high off the target. For his caliber, he should be hitting the target.
34'
Off the post!
Courage Pekuson who has switched flanks now rattles the post on the left. He cuts in a couple of defenders and shoots at the near post. Beats the keeper but not the goal. Keegan Pereira is there at the right place and clears it away.
32'
Yellow!
Sandesh Jhingan has been booked for a foul. He was in an aerial duel with Juan Mascia and ended up fouling his opposition.

Matej Poplatnik takes the free kick and somehow gets through the wall. The ball just swings away from the goalpost. Kerala are asking for a corner but the referee points for a goal kick.
23'
RED!
Last man tackle and Gurwinder Singh is sent off. Kerala were on the counter, Poplatnik receives the ball in the middle and is through on goal. Gurwinder Singh sees the danger and slides in a tackle. The referee at once blows the whistle and gives him a red. He is in for an early shower. Meanwhile, Kerala have a free kick in a dangerous position.

Red Card - NorthEast United FC : Gurwinder Singh
21'
Cheesy
Firstly, Doungel does well to turn away from his man. He then squares one to the box but Gurwinder Singh leaves it alone thinking his partner will clear it. Luckily for the tourists, there was no yellow shirts to tap that in.
17'
Overcooked
Mascia plays the ball to Rowllin on the right. The Indian looks to whip one in to the platform but overcooks to behind everyone for a goal kick.
12'
Just wide
Brilliant from Courage Pekuson. Kerala on the press with Poplatnik at the helm. He sees Pekuson outside the box and plays a aerial ball to him. The latter takes a touch and puts his laces behind it. Gets lovely connection but it goes just wide of the far post. Minutes ago, he almost found Poplatnik with a long ball.
8'
Kerala looking confident
The hosts are looking to end the year on a high. The are passing the ball nicely but only need more penetration from the wings.
5'
Corner
NorthEast make the first attack of the game. Juan Mascia comes running with the ball. He tries drilling in a cross in the box but it takes a deflection of Anas and goes out for a corner. The resulting corner is dealt by Kerala.

A fun watch!
Hello and welcome one and all, to match 88 of this edition of Indian Super League. Tonight, Kerala Blasters FC, who are placed in the bottom half of table and are out of running for a spot in the semis, host 4th-placed North East United FC. The hosts will look to end a disappointing season with a win. The home side has won the fewest number of matches this year with just 2 wins in 17 games, joint-lowest with Chennaiyin FC. The away side, on the other hand, have already made it through to the knockout stages and will look to head into the semis with another win in their kitty and some momentum. NorthEast United's away record this season has been better than any other team. They have won 5 out of 8 matches away from home and have got the most points (16), also scoring 13 goals on the road, the second-highest for any team this year. In the previous meeting between these two teams, earlier this season, we witnessed a nail-biting finish as both teams scored goals in injury time, with the team from the sister states of India clinching victory from an almost impossible position. If that game is anything to go by, we can expect another cracker of a game between these two here tonight! The start is not too far away, stay tuned...
