FC Pune City bag all three points
So it is Marcelo Pereira's goal which in the end turns out to be the difference. He scored in the 20th minute and FC Pune City have managed to hold on to their lead since then. The second half saw the hosts dominate but they could not manage to find the back of the net. Marko Stankovic had a decent chance as early as the 46th minute but failed to beat the keeper. Sandesh Jhingan too had a header or two towards the end saved. There were shots from outside the box but the FC Pune City defense was upto the mark and did its job well to ensure Pune City take all three points.

FC Pune City with the lead
A lively first half comes to an end. Chances fell to both the sides but it is the visitors who have taken theirs. Marcelo Pereira scored courtesy a deflection in the 20th minute and that is what the difference is between the two teams. However, the forward could have easily had another had it not been for Dheeraj Singh, who made an excellent save. Kerala Blasters FC also had a couple of chances but they were not as clear-cut as their opposition's. They though have one more half left and they would look to come out all guns blazing and find the equalizer first and then the winner. FC Pune City, on the other hand, can either sit back and try and hold onto their lead or move forward, look for another and kill the game. What will be the approaches? Stay tuned to find out.

Hello and welcome to match 51 of this edition's Indian Super League which sees Kerala Blasters FC host Pune City FC. A clash between two sides who find themselves at the wrong half of the table. The Blasters are win-less since their opening day victory against ATK. The 9 match win-less run this season is Kerala's longest win-less streak in their history of ISL. Their second biggest win-less streak was in 2015 and that ended against the same opposition they face tonight. Kerala Blasters FC would like to bounce back to winning ways starting tonight. The hosts hold an edge over their opposition in this fixture. They have won 5 matches out of 9 they have played against FC Pune City and lost only once. If they want to have any shot at finishing in the top 4, they must start winning games. Coming to the visitors, what a terrible season they have had so far. They have lost 7 of the 10 games they've played, the second most losses this season. They have managed to win only one game so far. Pune's defense has been broken too easily this season. They have conceded 21 goals from 10 games, that's the total number of goals they let in the whole of last campaign. They have a poor record against Kerala Blasters FC, their only win in this fixture came in 2015. Pune City's chances of qualifying for the semi-finals look very slim but they can be the party spoilers for others. This match certainly has goals in it and it will be an interesting watch. Can Kerala Blasters FC start winning again this season or will Pune City start a resurgence of their own?
