Full Time
So the game panned out just as expected. With both teams' defenses being so solid, the game ended without goals. NorthEast United FC move into 2nd position with this 1 point and Jamshedpur FC remain static at 4th place. The draw means that the streak of 4 wins away from home for the Highlanders comes to an end. The fact that there was only one shot on target in the whole game sums the evening up for us. Lots of long range attempts, wasted possesion and rock solid defending. That's what the game was about. Not very pretty to the eyes but that's how it is. The best chance of the game would definitely be the one where Federico Gallego was in on goal but was thwarted away by Pawan Kumar. All in all, it was a fair result. Neither team deserved three points and they will have to go back to their drawing boards and find new ways to press forward and create more goal-scoring opportunities.

85'
Not long left to go
The subs seemed to have made no difference to the way the game has been going on. Only 5 minutes of regulation time are left. The coaches also seem a little frustrated and animated outside the touchline. Will we see a spark?

Game seems to be heading for a draw
There has been a lack of quality of in this game. Lots of long shots have been taken and not much intensity is present even now. Something will have to spark or we seem to be heading for a dull draw. The defenders have found it way too easy so far.

Half-time
Honours are even at the end of the first 45 minutes, with neither team being able to find the back of the net so far. The chances being created are far and few. Neither keeper has been worked much and the ball is just travelling more in midfield. Both teams will have to work out something new and come for the second half if they want to score. Be with us as the sides change goals in just a bit.

NorthEast United FC's captain has a go
Mislav Komorski makes a short run and pushes the ball to the feet of his skipper, Bartholomew Ogbeche. The Nigerian then turns around and shoots towards goal but it is well above and causes no worries to Subrata Paul.
26'
NorthEast United FC's turn now
Federico Gallego from a free kick lifts the ball inside the box. Tiri is the first to get to it and heads it away but it falls at the feet Lalthathanga Khawlhring outside the box. He goes for the left-footed volley, makes a good connection but is well off target.
22'
There we go again
Long shots seem to be the name of the game as this time Mario Arques shoots towards the direction of goal from well outside. It's another one that is off target though.
16'
No clear chances
The teams look happy just shooting from far as of now. There haven't been any short, crisp passes that have led to a clear-cut chance for either. And these long shots have not been really troubling the keepers.
10'
Just above the bar
Post a short goal kick, Memo plays a very long ball and manages to find Pablo Morgado who gets inside the box. Shoots at goal but the ball fizzes just above the bar.
5'
Sedate start
A decent and quick-paced start to the game. The ball has seen both the ends of the pitch but nothing significant has happened so far.

Top 4 clash!
Welcome to the clash between the 3rd and 4th placed teams in the league! The three points will matter to either team as the race for the top 4 intensifies. Over this season and the last, these two teams have faced each other thrice. Today's hosts have the lead as they have won one game while the other two have ended in a stalemate. For the hosts, Carlos Calvo will have to step up and act as the playmaker in the absence of Sergio Cidoncha. Sumeet Passi will be looked at as the one to provide the goals for the team. They are unbeaten at home and will like that stat to remain as it is. As for the Highlanders, they are on a crazy run away from home as they have won the previous 4 matches. Inspirational skipper Bartholomew Ogbeche is in the running for the Golden Boot with 8 goals to his name. The defense has also been really good this season, letting in only 8 goals. All in all, the match should be a very tight one and looks like one between equals. Let us wait and watch as the action unfolds in just a little while from now!
