Full time
The referee blows the whistle and Jamshedpur FC have emerged victorious. A wonderful way to bounce back after facing the first defeat of the season in their last game. This encounter was dominated by the Miners. A scintillating goal in the 14th minute by Pablo Morgado set the tone for them and then they doubled their lead courtesy a neat penalty by Carlos Calvo. Chennaiyin FC never got going in the first half and it was more of the same in the second period as well. Although a goal through a penalty by Raphael Augusto in the 68th minute ignited some hope for a comeback in the Super Machans camp, a poor piece of keeping by Karanjit Singh four minutes later closed their door of opportunity for gaining any point from this match. So, yet another loss for the defending champions means that they stay at 9th in the points table while Jamshedpur FC break into the top four..

Jamshedpur FC take a two-goal lead into the break. It has been an entertaining game of football in this half. Jamshedpur FC will be the happier team obviously after gaining a 2-goal advantage. The game started well for Chennaiyin but a stunner from Pablo Morgado completely changed the dynamic of the game. A few minutes later it got even better for Jamshedpur when they were awarded a penalty and Carlos Calvo easily converted it from the spot. The Sunday Evening Clash!
Jamshedpur FC lock horns against Chennaiyin FC in Match 39 of the Indian Super League 2018-19. Apart from a loss in their last game, the hosts have been unbeaten this season. Although they have registered more draws than wins. Currently placed fifth in the points table, they would look to keep their defeat behind and start earning three points from hereon. For that to happen their front line has to start delivering goals. In defense too, the Miners have been leaking goals and have not kept a clean sheet since their opening game. Chennaiyin FC, on the other hand, will be relieved after tasting their first win of the season in their last match against Pune. The defending champions would hope that this is the start of their resurgence. Lack of goals from their strikers has been a prime concern for the Super Machans with Jeje Lalpekhlua yet to find the net. They have never lost to Jamshedpur FC in ISL and would like to take confidence from that record. With both teams eyeing crucial three points, this match promises to be a cracking one.
