They were the one who had more chances in the first half and they did gain the lead through Sergio Cidoncha. But in the dying moments of the first 45, Manuel Lanzarote curled in a free kick into the goal. The second half too saw the hosts creating more chances. The best one of the game fell to Tim Cahill, the forward should have scored but only managed to head it straight to the keeper. Mario Arques, also had a decent chance right at the end but he failed to hit the target. ATK, on the flip side, did try their best but they failed to make any clear openings. A point each for the two sides but Jamshedpur FC would feel they deserved more from this game.

ATK had the possession initially but as the game progressed, the hosts looked in total control. They had numerous shots on target and they finally broke the deadlock through Sergio Cidoncha, who scored through a free kick. Lanzarote puts in an inswinger from the right hand side. It is curled towards goal. It bounces in front of the keeper which probably makes it a little more difficult for him to save. Komal Thatal makes a good dash inside the box but his touch is a little too heavy. He does cut it back in but the ball had already gone out. However, it was a good run by the youngster as he beat a defender or two before making his way into the box.

First shot on target and it comes from the home side. Michael Soosairaj delivers a cross into the box. It, however, is a touch behind the attackers. Sergio Cidoncha does well to tap it down and then turns and takes a good shot but it is straight towards the keeper who pushes it out. It falls to Robin Gurung who fires it into the stands.
