Matchday 59!
The 59th match of the Indian Super League sees bottom-placed Hyderabad FC host Odisha FC at the G.M.C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium, Hyderabad. The 3-1 defeat at home to Chennaiyin FC saw Hyderabad FC part ways with head-coach, Phil Brown. Albert Roca replaces him having previously coached Bengaluru FC. He is no stranger to the Indian Super League and will want to lead his team to the highest points tally possible. They remain rock-bottom, with just 1 win out of 12 matches. On the other hand, Odisha FC come in to this game on the back of a 3-game winning streak. Having won all their home games at the Kalinga stadium, they will now want to carry this form on their travels. The Spanish duo of Aridane Santana (7) and Xisco Hernandez (5) have scored 12 of the 17 goals for the Bhubaneshwar-based outfit so far. Jerry Mawihmingthanga, Vinit Rai, Carlos Delgado and Martin Guedes have contributed for the rest. Odisha FC’s head coach, Josep Gombau, has got his team playing possession based football that is easy on the eye. Under his tutelage, the visitors boast of scoring a division-high 8 goals from crosses. A win for Odisha FC will be their fourth on the trot, thereby, strengthening their place in the top four. However, Albert Roca will want to start his spell with a win. Lots to play for as the two teams go head to head, especially for Odisha FC.
