First win for FC Pune City!
What a start for the Stallions after a little break in the tournament! They have finally tasted their first win of the season and will be delighted with the way they played this evening. After going ahead in the game in the 5th minute, they failed to hold on to the lead and conceded soon after that. It was a game of good intensity where plenty of moves were created but both teams were the culprits of not being clinical in front of goal. The visiting team was put under pressure in the second half but defended solidly. In the 86th minute though, Pune finally got an opening through a corner and Matt Mills' header put them in front. This is Jamshedpur's first loss of the season while a win tonight means that FC Pune City move from the bottom to number 8 in the points table. They would now like to believe that this is the start of their revival in this edition.

GOOALLLL
Matt Mills scores in the dying minutes! FC Pune City have their noses in front. The Miners will be disappointed after conceding yet again in the second half. In case you don't know, most of the goals scored against them have come in the last 45. Coming to the goal, it was a neat corner taken by Marko Stankovic. He puts in a lovely ball right in the centre of the box and Matt Mills gets his header away right on target. Bikash Jairu ain't marking the near post well and the ball deflects off him before going for goal. The crowd is on its feet.

Close but not close enough!
A run down the right flank by Ashique Kuruniyan ends in him crossing it perfectly to the head of Robin Singh who heads it just above the bar! Should have been 2-1 in favour of the hosts, a very straightforward chance that's been missed.

Nearly an own goal
Jamshedpur FC in the opposition's half spelling danger. First a superb attempt on target by Pablo Morgado got cleared by Kamaljit Singh and then the ball rolls out on the right. It's once again chipped in and in an attempt to clear the ball, Gurtej Singh nearly pushed it inside the goal.

First attempt after the resumption
Jamshedpur FC get the first shot away towards goal after the match resumes. The clearance by FC Pune City turns into a counter-attack which is led by Marcelo Pereira. He, then, passes it on to Robin Singh whose attempt on goal is pretty ordinary, high and wide.

Second half begins!
We are underway once again, as the referee blows his whistle. FC Pune City set the ball rolling.
Half time!
The referee blows the whistle to bring an end to the first half. The scoreline remains 1-1. This match started with a lot of intensity and we witnessed a couple of goals in the first 10 minutes. There were many attacks that followed post that but eventually it fizzled out. Jamshedpur FC were the better team, both in the attacking third and in the defense, however, they lacked the finishing touch in front of goal. FC Pune City showed flashes of brilliance but never looked threatening. The keepers from both teams have been right on the button, making quite a few fantastic saves. We are expecting more of the same action in the second half. Do join us in a short while.

Narrow escape for Jamshedpur FC
A lovely free kick by Marcelo Pereira finds the head of Adil Khan who puts it on target. But there are many defenders in front trying to block it out. Gurtej Singh is also in front of goal but he fails to get any shot away. Subrata Paul later on takes the ball under his control.

Good attempt
Sumeet Passi wins the ball in the midfield and nudges it to his left towards Bikash Jairu. Passi then puts in a run inside the box, expecting a cross but it's a bit overcooked. Kamaljit Singh jumps to collect it over his head.
34'
Wayward
FC Pune City win a free kick on the left side. Marcelo Pereira takes it but fires it way over everything. We expect much better from a player of his quality.
28'
Jamshedpur strongly defending
Attack after attack by FC Pune City. It all started from the left flank as a cross was put inside the box. But it got cleared. Then again, the home team wins the ball and tries to make a move forward, however, they fail to get any opening.
22'
Wasted attempt
Jerry Mawhmingthanga loops in a cross from the right and finds Carlos Calvo at the far end. From the edge of the box, Carlos this time swings it in the direction of Jerry who heads it on top of the net. Jamshedpur FC have been the better team in the attacking third.
17'
Hits the crossbar
A poor clearance by Jamshedpur FC and the ball goes to Ashique Kuruniyan. He chests it down and then goes for a full-blooded shot on the volley. Makes fine connection but it hits the bar at the far end. That was very close, Subrata Paul was beaten.

GOALLLL
It's 1-1. Jamshedpur FC have been the better team so far and they deservingly are back on level terms. Beautiful touch shown by Carlos Calvo. He has the possession of the ball on the left flank, dodges one of the markers and then sends across a nice ball in front of goal. Sumeet Passi is unmarked and he heads it past the left side of the diving keeper. Nothing Kamaljit Singh can do here!

We're back!!!
What a feeling! The break is over and we are all set to get our daily dose of quality football. And the first game will involve FC Pune City and Jamshedpur FC at the former's home ground. Talking about the hosts, their season is yet to take off as they are languishing at the bottom of the points table. With no win in the pocket, time is fast running out for them. They have to get their act together and start delivering in order to get a top 4 finish. The Stallions will be without the service of Emiliano Alfaro, who has joined ATK on a loan deal but they have strengthened their frontline by including the fit-again and ISL's all-time top-scorer Iain Hume to the squad. However, the Canadian is a doubtful starter for this match. Jamshedpur FC are a part of top 4 at the moment and have been only one of the two teams to be unbeaten in this edition. They have become a 'draw specialists' after drawing 5 of the seven matches played and the visitors will be eyeing more wins from now on. The boys from the steel city have been quite effective and they haven't relied on any single player to deliver the goods. As many as 10 players have been among the goals for them. The backline also has been pretty stout although they need to be at their best, especially in the second half where they have shipped in 5 out of 7 goals conceded this season. Jamshedpur FC's strikers would be looking to take advantage of a leaky Pune defense which is yet to keep a clean sheet. As far as the H2H battle goes, FC Pune City hold a 2-0 advantage and this is something they would like to take confidence from. Let's hope for an entertaining evening.
