Utter domination
Wow! How do I describe what we witnessed here? In the first half we didn't witness one shot on target but in the second we saw 6 goals. FC Goa scored 5 of them and completely humiliated NorthEast United FC. The first goal came in the 59th minute with Coro finding the back of the net after a perfect cross from Jackichand Singh. 10 minutes later they doubled their lead courtesy Edu Bedia who delightfully chipped it over the goalkeeper. It didn't take them long to make it 3-0, in fact, the third one came 2 minutes after the second one and this time it was Hugo Boumous. In the 84th minute, Corominas with his second of the night made it 4-0. Bartholomew Ogbeche pulled one back for the visitors just at the end of regulation 90. But in the added time, it was the substitute Miguel Fernandez who scored the 5th of the night for the hosts to complete the domination. With this win, the Gaurs move to 3rd in the table. NorthEast United have to bounce back from this and should not let it derail their season.

GOALLLL!!!
The deadlock is broken and it's the star man Corominas. Hugo Boumous beats the defender and plays a through ball to Jackichand Singh on the right. He takes a touch and whips in a cross, this time there's someone behind that cross and it's none other than Ferran Corominas who had nothing to do but place it at the right spot and he does it without any hesitation. He moves past Ogbeche in the race for the Golden Boot and ends his 3-match scoring drought as well.

Stalemate
Half time here in Goa and both teams need to work on their finishing. The play in the final third has not been up to the mark. Though FC Goa have dominated the possession, they haven't been able to make the visiting goalkeeper work. The Gaurs have put in some good crosses in the half but no one was there at the end of those to make them count. NorthEast United FC have been defending for the majority of the first half and when they attacked their play in the final third has been poor. Both goalkeepers have had nothing to do yet. We haven't had a shot on target so far in this half but it could all change in the second. Join us for the second half in a while.

Battle for top 4
Welcome to match 57 of this edition's Indian Super League between 5th placed FC Goa and 3rd placed NorthEast United FC. A win here for FC Goa will see them replace their opposition for the third place. FC Goa have never lost against their opposition at home. The hosts are the highest scoring team this season. They have scored 22 goals in just 10 matches so far. FC Goa would like to bounce back after losing their previous game against Pune City FC. The visitors, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last 5 matches but have managed 3 draws in their last 3 matches. The Highlanders defence has been their backbone this year. They have conceded only 9 goals, the second best in this edition. A win here for NorthEast United FC will see them move to second on the table. This will be an interesting battle between Goa's attack and NorthEast's defence. Let's see who comes on top and gets a firmer grip on the top 4 spot. Live action is not far away. Join us for that.
