Awards!
The Club Award goes to MCFC for winning the game. The Hero of the Match Award goes to Greg Stewart.
Comeback complete!
From 2-0 down to scoring 6 goals past CFC! That was some reply from MCFC. We expected something similar to the first half but in the second half, the goals just came from one team. Four goals were scored in the first half and four goals were scored in the second phase but from only one team in the latter part. When Vinit Rai scored the third goal, CFC more or less gave up as they lost all hope to make a comeback. This game also shows how good a bench MCFC have as three goals were scored by a player coming from the bench. Once MCFC took the lead, it was just a formality but MCFC used the opportunity to increase their goal tally. A one-sided affair in the end. Goals-galore for a football fan.
Full time!
Peep, peep, peep, there goes the final whistle and it is MCFC who bag the three points.

GOALLLL!
Half a dozen by MCFC now and Bipin Singh gets a goal to his name for all the hard work he has done throughout the game. He gets a lobbed ball on the left flank, he beats the defender before taking the shot. Debjit Majumder makes a good save but the ball lands back in front of Bipin Singh who this time doesn't miss.

CFC with a chance after quite a while. Jobby Justin shoots with venom from yards out and on target. Phurba Lachenpa comes good as he dives to his right and deflects it away for a corner.

GOALLLL!
This is just too easy for MCFC now. Another substitute player makes an impact. Bipin Singh with yet another assist. He runs in the left channel and cuts back to Alberto Noguera. His first touch was not a good one but eventually shoots from a very tight angle and across to find the back post. A beautiful goal from a very tight angle.

GOALLL!
This looks like game, set, and match for MCFC. Still, a long way to go but CFC are looking tired already. What a goal by Vignesh Dakshinamurthy. Both the substitutes have scored now. Ahmed Jahouh takes the corner and his first attempt is blocked. The ball comes back to him and it is deflected away outside the box where Vignesh Dakshinamurthy lines back, he shoots low and through many players before finding the back of the next. Debjit Majumder was clueless and CFC have a mountain to climb now.

Wonderful play from Lallianzuala Chhangte. He gets the ball on the right flank and then gets across. He runs towards the goal, dribbles away from his marker and powers it but Debjit Majumder gets a big glove on it.

GOALLL!
That is a really beautiful play by MCFC! And the comeback is completed from MCFC! It didn't take much long for them to take the lead. Yet again Greg Stewart plays a big role for his team. He finds Bipin Singh with a wonderful pass. Bipin runs forward and cuts back for Vinit Rai who runs in and hits the first time, and powerfully to the left of the keeper.

Breathe!
Well, take a breather because that was some high tempo stuff. Definitely, a goal is assured when these two met but 4 goals in the first half, something you might have not thought of. What a half it was. MCFC got into the game since going down. They were creating chances for fun but were also playing a bit dangerously by sending too many players up front. CFC took the advantage and doubled their lead but only for a minute or so as Jorge Diaz started the comeback. They continued their good work by putting pressure and in return were awarded a penalty in the added time. The players will look to just calm things down but we don't think there will be a drop in tempo. 2-2 at the break, more of the same, please.
45'
GOALLL!
Greg Stewart converts the penalty! Simple as you like! He sends the keeper to the wrong side as he guides it to the right of Debjit Majumder. 2-2 and the referee blows the whistle as well.
45'
Penalty!
Shouts for a penalty and MCFC get it! A big moment in the game but the slow motion does show that it is the right decision. Debjit Majumder could have avoided that. A big of sloppy from him. Lalengmawia Ralte wins the ball in front of the keeper. He shows his back to the keeper while Debjit tries to run forward and to shoot it away but instead hits Lalengmawia on his ribs.

GOALLLL!
Two goals in no time! MCFC get the much needed goal! The game has opened up now. No space for a breather. Greg Stewart is again in the middle of the action. He shows skills before putting the cross inside the box. Jorge Diaz makes room for himself before finding the back of the net.

GOALLLL!
CFC go 2-0 up! What a half this is for CFC! This has been the problem for MCFC as since going down they are pushing bodies forward but have been vulnerable at the back as well. Petar Sliskovic does well to hold the ball. He waits for Abdenasser El Khayati to run on the right side. His first shot is blocked by the defender but it rebounds back to him and he finds the back of the net.

Should have scored there! Should have really, really scored! Lalengmawia Ralte with a big chance. Lalengmawia Ralte has all the time as the ball is cut back to him but Lalengmawia finds the keeper only.
25'
Good show!
MCFC have shown an eagerness to equalize as the game is played in their attacking third since going down. A good sign but they now need a goal.
19'
GOALLLL!
A big, big goal by Petar Sliskovic. An expert finish from him. CFC get a corner and the ball is crossed on the back post from Aakash Sangwan. It takes a deflection before reaching to Rahim Ali who does well to put the ball in the box, a few yards away from the target rather than powering it. Petar Sliskovic leaps and heads it with ease. Beautiful play. CFC go ahead within 20 minutes.

MCFC hold the upper hand!
The fourth game of Matchweek 6 in the Hero ISL, 2022-23 promises to be an entertaining clash. With two wins from five games and sitting in the top four, Mumbai City FC have the momentum behind them heading into this clash. Moreover, Mumbai City FC are unbeaten against Chennaiyin FC over the past two Hero ISL seasons. Chennaiyin FC haven’t had the best of starts to their campaign, mainly due to a lack of sharpness in front of goal. The hosts have managed to score just four goals from as many matches. To add to Chennaiyin FC’s misery, they will be without the services of Vafa Hakhamaneshi, who was sent off in the previous game. The defence and midfield have fared comparatively well, and they will need to be at their best on Saturday to keep Mumbai City FC at bay. On the contrary, Mumbai City FC have been one of the most successful teams in front of goal. The visitors have ten goals to their name from five matches and they will look to add to their goal tally on Saturday. Mumbai City FC’s custodian Phurba Tempa Lachenpa has been clinical between the posts. He has two clean sheets under his belt in five Hero ISL games this season. It's going to be a tough nut to crack the MCFC backline and a misfiring CFC will have their task cut out. Will Mumbai City FC keep their unbeaten run intact or will Chennaiyin FC put on a spirited performance in front of their home crowd?
CFC face unbeaten MCFC
Aiming to secure their first home victory of the Hero ISL 2022–23 season, Chennaiyin FC take on unbeaten Mumbai City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. Chennaiyin FC collected all three points with a 1-0 away win in their last outing against East Bengal FC. On the other hand, Mumbai City FC had to settle for a 2-2 draw at home against ATK Mohun Bagan. Chennaiyin FC find themselves sixth in the points table with seven points from four matches, whereas Mumbai City FC are currently placed fourth with nine points from five matches. The last time these two sides met in the Hero ISL 2021–22, Mumbai City FC emerged victorious 1-0 at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda. Will things pan out the same way for Mumbai City FC again?
