Chennaiyin FC win in dramatic style!
WHAT A GAME! WHAT A FINISH! They say it's not over until the final whistle and that saying cannot be any more true. After a host of chances in the first half, the home side was unable to open the scoring while the away team was happy to hit them on the counter. It looked like we were heading for a goalless draw as the fourth official indicated 5 minutes of added time at the end of 90. But that was not to be. The home fans erupted when at the start of the injury time it looked like substitute Andre Schembri had not just opened Super Machans' account for the season but had also won them the game but their ecstasy did not last long as Matthew Kilgallon equalized immediately. This had to be the end right? 1-1 with just a few minutes remaining. That was not the case though. Andre Schembri was once again involved, and this time he turned provider. A hopeful cross from Germanpreet Singh was put in Schembri's way by Nerijus Valskis. Schembri was quick to play it first time back to Valskis who was calm in front of the goal and won the game for the home side in the dying seconds. The stadium once again went berserk and this time the away side had no time remaining to get the equalizer. Chennaiyin FC have finally managed to bag their first win of the season, albeit from late, late drama. It was heartbreak once again for Hyderabad FC as it looked like their shaky defense was finally going to get a clean sheet and a draw but ended up conceding 2 goals and go back home without any point.

Chennaiyin FC's wait for goal continues
The home side has once again failed to find the back of the net in this half and their goalless start to the season continues. They were dominant with the ball and kept on building attack after attack but somehow could not find the back of the net. Their best chance came in at the 25th minute when Lallianzuala Chhangte missed his header from a relatively open goal. 7 minutes later Anirudh Thapa's effort was first saved by Kamaljit Singh and then cleared off the line by Matthew Kilgallon. Hyderabad FC were happy to counterattack and almost managed to head into the interval with a surprise lead but Robin Singh missed a one-on-one against the Chennaiyin FC keeper and managed to scruff his shot on the side-netting. The away side will be happy with their effort especially at the back. The home side should have opened the scoring but once again their shooting boots were missing. Can they manage to find the back of the net for the first time this season in the second half or will it be another day of drought for them? Join us after the break to find out.

Battle of the Basement Clubs!
Today's match sees bottom-placed Chennaiyin FC play host to Hyderabad FC who are sitting just above them in the points table. The Marina Machans are still to score a goal this season and their muted attack has been the prime reason for their plight in this edition of the ISL. Their coach, John Gregory, has said that he had a chat with the owners and winning the next two fixtures is of the utmost importance for them to instil some life to their dormant season. Much will be expected from the dynamic Indian duo, Anirudh Thapa and Lallianzuala Chhangte, to inspire the two-time champions to record their first win of the season. Hyderabad FC, on the other hand, have conceded a goal in each of their outings this season. The newcomers are guilty of being the leakiest defence, having conceded 10 goals in 4 games so far. Up against a goal-shy opponent, they would also be aiming to get their act together and achieve their first clean sheet of this edition. Marko Stankovic and Marcelo Pereira have been the standout performers for Hyderabad FC, with the latter scoring 2 of the 3 goals the visitors have scored so far. Head coach, Phil Brown, will expect the rest of the strike force of Abhishek Halder, Bobo, Giles Barnes and Robin Singh to share the goal-scoring burden. Will Chennaiyin end their goal drought and bring their campaign on track or will the visitors pick up a rare win to move up in the table? Lots to play for in this battle of the basement clubs!
