Chennaiyin FC have one leg in the finals!
A supreme showing from the home side in the second half has seen them extend their unbeaten run and also have one foot firmly in the finals. After a goalless first half, Chennaiyin FC came out all guns blazing in the second. 9 minutes into the second half and skipper, Lucian Goian headed one home to break the deadlock. 7 minutes later, Anirudh Thapa's worldie doubled the lead. In the 77th minute, Eli Sabia scored one more and after 2 minutes Lallianzuala Chhangte got the fourth. It seemed like the tie was done and dusted with the fourth but Saviour Gama pulled one back 5 minutes before regulation 90 to keep the glimmer of hope alive for the Gaurs. FC Goa though will have to be at their brilliant best in the second leg if they want to make it two finals in a row.

Chennaiyin FC vs FC Goa - Semi-Final 1
It's time for the knockout stage to begin! The Super Machans will be hosting the high-flying FC Goa in the first leg of Semi-Final 1 and it has the potential to be a corker of a clash. Both teams have been in red-hot form and it's very difficult to choose a favourite. The Gaurs dominated the league stages and topped the table. They were ruthless with their attacking game and the defenders also stood tall on most occasions. Overall, it's a very polished side and parting ways with Sergio Lobera didn't have any effect on their performance. Chennaiyin FC, on their part, experienced a rough start to their campaign but turned things around superbly under Owen Coyle. They have built an 8-match unbeaten streak, winning six of those, and have become one of the teams to beat. Just like the touring team, the Marina Machans also possess an in-form frontline whereas their defensive game is also going strong. We will be in for a treat when these two teams collide as there is so much quality at both ends of the pitch.
