Adios!
So that is it from this game. FC Goa have bagged their first win of this year's ISL, whereas Chennaiyin FC are still to get off the mark. ISL action continues on Sunday as Bengaluru FC lock horns with Jamshedpur FC in the former's den at 1930 IST. Till then, take care and goodbye.
Award!
The Club Award goes to FC Goa for winning the game. Ferran Corominas is the Limitless Player of the Match. Lenny Rodrigues wins the Winning Pass of the Match. Mohammad Nawaz is the Emerging Player of the Match with Ahmed Jahouh being awarded the Hero of the Match.
Dominating performance!
By FC Goa. They went into the half time break with a goal's lead and continued their dominance in the second as well. They had more of the possession and made use of it. They doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute when Ferran Corominas scored. Mourtada Fall then sealed things with the third. Chennaiyin FC did manage to pull one back, which was also their first goal of this season through Eli Sabia but it was all too late. In the end, a fair result.
90'
Full time!
The ref blows the whistle and it is FC Goa who take all three points.
90'
GOALLL!
Chennaiyin FC score one. A consolation goal, also their first of this year's ISL. Eli Sabia gets his name on the score sheet as he leaps above the rest on this corner taken by Andrea Orlandi and heads into the right corner.

OUCH!
A bad collision there as Isaac Vanmalsawma runs behind a ball put over the top. Mohammad Nawaz too charges off his goal to clear it. The latter though finishes second best and collides with Isaac, resulting in the two lying down on the ground in pain. A foul given against Nawaz but no red card shown. The keeper can consider himself lucky he got away with a yellow.

GOALLL!
Game, set and match! If it wasn't sure on the goal before this one. Ahmed Jahouh delivers a cross from the right towards Ferran Corominas who flicks it with his head and it finds the head of Mourtada Fall who heads into the top far corner to silence the Chennaiyin FC fans.

Golden opportunity to get one back has gone down the drain. A throw into the box has been flicked on by Jeje Lalpekhlua. It falls to Raphael Augusto who should be scoring, he tries to place it but does not get the desired connection and it goes over.

FC Goa in command!
So FC Goa continue dominating. They have had more ball possession and look really comfortable out there.

GOALLL!
FC Goa double their advantage! Sloppy from Chennaiyin FC, their defense went to sleep there. A throw-in down the line on the right and Seriton Fernandes gets to it. He crosses it from the byline towards the far post where Ferran Corominas puts it into an open net for his third goal this season.

Second Half
We are back for the resumption of play. Chennaiyin will want to start positively, unlike the first half, and get their first goal of the season. Goa kind of backed off towards the end of the break, so they'll want to get their focus back. Let's see how it unfolds...
Half time!
The ref blows the whistle and that is half time! So Edu Bedia's goal is the difference between the two sides as we head into the break. FC Goa started well and they got their reward. However, both the teams struggled to create any clear chances. Chennaiyin FC did show signs of improvement as the game progressed. Gregory Nelson came the closest for them as his effort went just wide. The game though should open up in the second half and we can surely expect exciting football.
45'
Another yellow!
The ref is not in the mood to tolerate any nonsense here. A foul from Seriton Fernandes on Gregory Nelson and the ref has written his name in the book.

High and wide!
A corner is cleared out towards Ahmed Jahouh. He tries to blast it into the goal but hits it high and wide of it.
45'
Three added minutes!
So a good amount of time has been added to the first 45. Can Chennaiyin FC equalize?
41'
Just wide!
But a very good shot by Gregory Nelson. He receives a ball towards the left hand side of the goal. He lines it up and then takes a shot from outside the box. The keeper is beaten but the ball goes just past the far post.
36'
On target!
A chance for Chennai, their first decent chance of the game as Eli Sabia cuts it back to Francisco Fernandes who takes a good shot on goal but it is on the body of the keeper who collects it.
35'
10 minutes to go!
Not a lot of time left for the end of the first half! Will we see another goal?
31'
Shout for a penalty...
Not given! Anirudh Thapa plays a nice one-two with a teammate. He then enters the box but seems to have been brought down on the tackle of Chinglensana Singh. The ref though does not feel there was any contact and no penalty given. Anirudh Thapa however, felt he was brought down but Chinglensana Singh wants him to be booked for diving.
27'
Another yellow!
Ahmed Jahouh tackles Raphael Augusto, the ref feels it is a bookable offense and shows him the yellow card. Ahmed is not happy as he blasts out on the ref. However, his teammates take him away. Not a smart move that.
28'

Quiet game...
So far! Not many chances created after the goal which was scored. Both are happy to pass it around and wait for an opening.
12'
GOALLL!
FC Goa lead and a well-deserved goal for them. They were the side who started off better and have got their reward. Lenny Rodrigues from the byline on the right cuts it back. It falls to Edu Bedia who takes a first-time shot. He places it really well, towards the bottom left corner, leaving the keeper with no chance. The visitors are up and running, that too early in the game.

Corner!

Bright start for Goa!
So most of the game till now has been played in the Chennaiyin FC half. It is FC Goa who have looked threatening but no clear chances as of now.

Karanjit Singh (G), Eli Sabia, Inigo Calderon, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Mailson Alves (C), Francisco Fernandes, Germanpreet Singh, Raphael Augusto, Anirudh Thapa, Gregory Nelson, Jeje Lalpekhlua.
Jeje needs to add more dynamism
Jeje is known to be a fox in the box rather than being a player who can take his chances outside the box too. His play is static and often doesn’t drop deep to effect shots from outside the box, but stays in the box to finish from inside the box. He had just 1 shot taken in the last match against Bengaluru FC and out of the 19 touches he had, 10 were in the opposition’s attacking third. Only 5 touches were in the attacking midfield area. He needs to be a bit more dynamic dropping deep and playing to his wingers and full backs to generate more chances.
Both looking for 1st win
It's Super Saturday and we have a thriller up for you guys. Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa lock horns at the Marina Arena in Chennai. The Gaurs have liked this venue more than the hosts as they have got the better of the Super Machans at this venue. 3 out of their 4 wins for Goa over Chennaiyin have come in Chennai. Both didn't get to their best starts of the season as neither could get maximum points. They will to get bag a win here and gain an early advantage. Expect plenty of goals today as the Marina Arena has seen 63 goals scored, only JNL, Goa, has seen more. Don't go anywhere as this one promises to be a cracker.
